Lovecraftian killer
Imagine if we had a Lovecraftian killer without a clear appearance. It's just like this dark twisting... thing... Maybe you can't look at it for too long or you'll get crazy. Seeing bizarre monsters and stuff or seeing the Entity crawling all over the place.
Just thought that would be pretty sweet.

It'd be neat. It would give them a reason to make another killer that can apply the madness debuff as well.

Nice idea but idk how they can put this since i believe most of lovecraft 's creature are cosmic ancient gods, older and greater than the entity himself (tho she could be one of them itself) and they are not evil nor good so lorewise it could be a problem.

They make the entity try to sound like a lovecraftian creature according to some lore pieces. Although I agree with your final statement about it being a problem with them being not good or evil.

I mean, if we're being super technical, the Entity is obviously inspired by cosmic horror. Tentacles, the whole formless thing, drives people insane... It ticks a lot of the boxes. And most of Lovecraft's creatures aren't really... Slasher-ish monsters. They're ancient, formless, mind-bending creatures with unspeakable intelligence. They aren't good or bad, they're just greater. Humanity is nothing more than ants, more or less. The Entity at least needs humanity for food. Hell, most of Lovecraft's creatures probably wouldn't even care about the Entity.

I always had the idea of a cult leader that worships one of the creatures to be the killer. It's nice to hear some people want lovecraft in dbd other then me lol.

Yeah thats could be a way to do it, a cult membre of chtullu (cause its the most known and i believe the most powerful living on Earth) who can summon some of his master's power from his own purpose (blocking access with a big arm coming from the ground, driving people mad or blind temporary by shape shifting etc...). So much possibility !

Then they can maybe solve this by making a reason for the Entity to do the killing itself.

A sea-creature/Lovecraft themed Killer would be very cool.

Looking at the killer causes some sort of debuff. I wonder if that would make the killer effective at looping? Most people look backwards when running to see what the killer is doing. If they look at him too many times they get hit by some status effect. Sounds fun but I bet the survivors will say "OP! Plz Nerf!!!!"

Demogorgon is pretty lovecraftian, as is the entity. Unless by "lovecraftian" you mean the generic insanity-inducing sea monsters, in which case don't hold your breath.

Song of Horror. They have some Lovecraftian monsters. I can probably see "The Silence" representing it
