What genre is Dead by Daylight?
You can't exactly say it's a survival horror because that would only be true for the survivor side. From the killer side it's not survival but more of a hunting aspect. Both of these opposing perspectives are put together in the same game which makes it a sort of predator vs. prey type of game. A simple version of this would just be something along the lines of hide and seek. So is the genre Hide and seek/predator vs. prey or does someone have any evidence to change this thought?

It's called Asymmetric Multiplayer.
But that's video game type genre. If we're talking about the setting kind of genre, obviously it's horror slasher.
It is not Survival Horror. Survival Horror is completely different.
