Survivors switching characters last second. (Not fair whatsoever)

Right, so when a killer finds a lobby, the killer can no longer switch to a different killer. And that’s fair. But, why is it fair that survivors can switch to a different survivor once in a lobby?

Recently, I have been in a lobby as killer and at the last second, survivors switch characters that have keys or flashlights. Literally, at the last second they ALL switch to a character so that they all have keys and flashlights. And because of this, the killer doesn’t have enough time to leave as u start loading into a game straight away. Because u can just tell it’s gonna be such a toxic game when survivors switch characters last second and it makes the game so unfun.

Why can survivors switch characters when in a lobby but killers can’t?

Anyway, why can’t they change it so that survivors can’t change characters or change their build once in a lobby. And do the same for the killer. Or change it so that there’s an extra 10 seconds or so for the killer to leave the lobby. Because no killer wants to come across a toxic SWF all with flashlights and keys. At some point, there’s gonna be no killers playing this game. And if the devs don’t do anything about it. (Cuz they are buffing survivor perks and nerfing killer perks) then there will be no game to play as there won’t be any killers.

Hope u understand what I’m saying. Please let me know your thoughts. And if your gonna be a toxic, entitled survivor, please don’t reply to my discussion. 👍🏻

Aight, so i think some people didn’t get what I was trying to say, it’s not that it’s just a character, it’s about the items the character has on.

Say, you see 4 survivors and what items they have, u prepare your perks/Addons/offerings to help u counter those items, then the 4 survivors quickly switch to different characters with completely different items at last second (flashlights and keys) leaving the killer no time to prepare or leave. The killer is then screwed. Hope u understand this more now. 👍🏻

    They should just make it that killer can't see survivor.

    The actual reason is for when they implement the new SBMM in a month or so Killer side. That way I can't log onto my one hour Blight, match with one hour Survivors, and switch to my 1000 hour Wraith.

    I do agree though it's annoying to see a Dwight suddenly morph into a P3 Claudette with a key and suddenly the match starts, so I do feel it should be made so that when a Survivor hits ready they are locked in, and Killers should get the grace period to be able to back out of a lobby they don't want to play.

    Honestly, I don't mind it all that much. Maybe I should mind it more but I don't ever lobby dodge so no matter what they switch to, I'll go against it.

    Although that is a very quick way to get on my poo list. If you switched characters to have a key or something strong and I have the choice between going after you and another survivor, I'm going after you. I won't "tunnel" in the sense that I exclusively go after you but if there's a coin flip choice, you're the one I'm gunning for when you pull that kind of ish.

    Same when survivors bring Calm Spirit against someone who isn't Doctor or running Infectious Fright. Take your chances.

    Calm has value besides those 2 it also stops crows from flying away which top killers look for and when you go down to deepwound or go downed at all you dont scream. Lightborne and franklins do nothing if theres no items or flashlights.

    They really should lock the survivor's loadout or at least their character and item it's so dumb that this isn't implemented yet.

    As for the dev's MMR argument and survivors being skins that is not the point, what we have a problem with is survivors being able to bring in any item they wish without the killer being able to prep against it if they would have wanted to.

    Like would you want to play against 4 flashlights or medkits without at least putting on a perk to help you against it? i know i wouldn't.

    there are 5 perks clam spirit counters and it prevents crows from being alerted while also preventing you from screaming which can throw the killer off after they hit you and good killers use both often to track survivors, lightborn is legit only used to counter 2 items in the game and franklins is for all items but isn't worth running unless a lot of good items are brought in or a key is brought in.

    Unlike lightborn and franklins calm spirit is versatile and somewhat useful even when you go against nothing it counters.
