A pissed 5K hours legacy player. Meta perk problems which devs are ignoring.
Hello again, I'm an old legacy player, with 5100+ hours in the game. And as some of you might know, from my other "rude" post, I'm pissed.
I'm watching every dev stream and they once said, that they don't want to create a very strong, solo perks (such as DS, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time...). So they trying to create perks to enhance already existing perks...
I will talk only about survivor perks, because killer perks are ok, except the Hex: Undying + Hex: Ruin combo which will be nerfed (at least some good perk changes from the devs in this upcoming patch, thanks).
Ladies and Gentleman's, this time finally came, the new perks, the new META... Unbreakable (Game breaking perk (Balanced)) + Flip-Flop (Completely garbage perk which no use) + Tenacity (An "ok" perk but still not worth to run, since you have to be slugged, but in that case, Unbreakable is just better) + Power Struggle (Another "second chance" perk which is ABSOLUTELY useless and will NEVER work, even with all these other perks being combined).
Are devs serious ? They also said that while they are working on a new chapter, they making a list of all perk ideas, which contains about 10-20 perks if I remember ? And then they are voting for perks which they like or think will be interesting / good / themed for the character. Holy #########, if it's the BEST perks you had from that list, I don't even want to know about the other ones, which might be even worse than already useless ones.
I already talked about the HUGE perk issue in my previous post, that every side has 10% of good / broken / must have perks, 30% perks are decent / fun but not worth to use as much AND remaining 60% of the perks are straight up garbage / extremely long CDs / hard to use (rare chances of meeting the requirements to make it work).
And what devs are doing ? Buffing ######### perks to be better than before, but they will be same ######### still, such as Second Wind... Who the hell will EVER use it ? Hard requirements to make it work with pretty much no value out of it and will work only 1-2 times but in reality 0-1 times per game. I won't go in to small details why this is #########... Don't get me wrong, this perk might be crucial but odds of it being that helpful are almost non existent. Just use a medkit with the ultra rare addon and don't bother with the perk it self.
What about all the survivors no brain-no skill second chance perks which literally ruins the game ? I talked about them in my previous post, I'm completely fine with them, in my logic they are designed to punish killer if he's being an #########. If killer is playing fair, he won't be dealing with all of those perks (DS, Unbreakable, Adrenaline, DH (The most problematic perk which no killers can avoid, more about it later), BT.
DEAD HARD.
The most ######### ######### survivor perk in the game. EVERYONE use it, you need no brain or skill, just press a button and your chase is resented, yes you have to use it towards the pallet or window, but killer might already spent 60 seconds to chase you, then when you SHOULD go down because you did a mistake, you resetting the chase and killer has to chase you all over again (if your environment allows you to keep killer on self and not go down in 5 seconds later). I've lose COUNTLESS games at red ranks just because some dumb survivor did a mistake but pressed E and all my time spent on his chase went to nothing. Meanwhile gens were done. You can bait DH but you can't do it if there's a pallet in front of him and your first survivor you will chase, has ALL the pallets to use however he wants. This perk alone made killers lose more than any other reasons possible.
DH shouldn't ignore Trappers traps, or make so Trapper can walk over his own traps as well. If you use DH for the DISTANCE, then make so you will also LOSE some distance after your DH animation will end. Since you will use it only to a pallet or a window anyway, so make so that survivor will be slowed down for 1.5 sec or so, I mean maybe he will have a 15% speed penalty as in the Clown's gas. Just so the killer won't waste SO much time just to catch up to him AGAIN.
DECISIVE STRIKE.
A completely fine ANTI-TUNNEL perk which is used offensively and in most brain dead ways possible. And if you will play around it and slug that person who just ran in to your face, prepare your self to be shitted on in the end game chat. Changes to this perk are very simple. First of all DS shouldn't work if killer GRABS you from out the locker or repairing / cleansing / sabotaging / opening the exit gates / while you slow vault on purpose so you will be grabbed. But even after that survivors will still run at you on purpose, because they are invulnerable for whole 60 seconds which is A LOT.
DS timer must be around 30 seconds but be paused if you are involved in a chase in those 30 seconds after being unhooked. If you managed to juke 2 minutes and will go down, well, killer is clearly tunneled you so he will need to eat the DS or slug you for 5-30 seconds and he will punished, all gens will be done and he is a loser. But DS should also be disabled if killer hooked someone else after you was saved. Because he clearly chasing others and NOT tunneling you, you have tons of time to heal up / hide / run away, USE this opportunity. Or make it so every other hooked survivor after you are saved, will remove 10 seconds of the remaining time of your active DS timer, in this case you might make it to last 40 seconds, so if 3 survivors were somehow hooked very fast, your DS will be gone, he isn't tunneling you after all.
BORROWED TIME.
You should never go for the unhooked person since they might have BT and DS. So any good killer will go for the saviour, especially if that person runs at you like an idiot just because he has a dumb perk. And believe me or no, this is happening most of the games. They call me a camper after running in to me on purpose to farm that person, not even giving me time to go away from the hook.
BT is a fine perk as well, just the way dumb survivors are using it isn't healthy as with the case of DS. Make it so BT will work if killer is in 16 meters around the hook. It's not that much of a distance but also not that close. You will still be able to save that person in a toxic way, but at least you wont have those 32 meters to activate BT, which is completely stupid.
Unbreakable is completely fine, but after you stood up by your self, the recovery cap should be lower than 95%. Make it 85% so you can't recover 35% faster then be tapped once and be on your legs.
Adrenaline is completely fine, but shouldn't be working if you are hooked. It's most ######### case when they run at you in the end game, unhooking in your face, that person has a BT and also Fully healed up and sprinted at 150% speed for 5 seconds right to the exit. And if you are Hillbilly ? Or any killers with any kind of one shot power or addon ? If you will still manage to "one shot" that previously hooked person and he will still have BT to save his ass for free ? Makes no ######### sense.
As I said in my previous post, I'm a killer main but playing both sides, I'm trying my best to play fair, but ranking system, community, game unbalance forces me to play like an #########. Anyway, I have no problems with any of these perks, I rarely get DSed or you wont get any value from Unbreakable / BT most of the time if you playing against me. You can't use these perks to punish me if there are no reasons for me to be punished.
But the problem is when all of these perks are STACKED and ALL survivors are running them, abusing them, running in to you because they know, they can get away with it. It's all about the time management, imagine if these perks has a passive effect, which reduces killers overall time to do his job. If he plays well and game is 10 minutes long, because he pressuring you all, slowly but surely downing everyone and removing your hook states while also doing well with gen protection. With all of these perks he has only 5 minutes to do his job because of all the second chances which requires no brain or skill to pull off. This must be changed.

Unfortunately it really doesn’t matter how well you lay out your case for some of the imbalances for some perks. Until survivor Q times reach like 30 minutes because killers stop playing/switch to survivor, the problematic issues with some survivor perks won’t be addressed.
the small pp combo has been complained about 276,190,381 times in the forums to no avail but undying gets nerfed in like 4 months (I’m not saying it should have or shouldn’t have been nerfed)
in the end supply and demand will dictate these things. 1 killer quitting the role causes 4 survivors to be in Q that shouldn’t. 1 survivor quitting simply allows another to join who would have been in a long Q. Time will eventually determine the ratio and that’s all the devs really care about in the end.
