My time with huntress has come to an end
Once, with alot of practise and perseverance, I was an efficient and accurate huntress player.
Scoring hatchet hits from close mid and even far. Survivors jukes at close range would be very easy to hatchet. Loops would be predicted well and hit them at pallets and window vaults.
Once a huntress main who wouldnt miss many hatchets, possibly every 2 hatchets maybe 3.
However, whenever I play a killer for too long, the skills dry out, the playstyle I once scored with is countered easily.
I once missed 15 hatchets in a single row before a hit. I'd miss vault shots, get predicted at loops. Miss over loop shots. Struggle with jukes at close range. And most importantly my accuracy, hitting walls, rocks and other obstacles.
You may say, 'keep practising', 'takes a little more practise' 'let them juke into the hatchet'.... I've tried it all, its not like I havnt put all my time and effort into her before. I've just lost her touch guys, it happens to the best of us.
I have yet to get a single kill with her in the last few days....i think it's time for a break...
I hope to play you again some other time ❤️
P.S this post is just to remind myself of the struggles with huntress and that she will always be one of my favourite killers. If you have any words of encouragement, then try me...

Try Billy out I have fun with him. A nasty curve is just as satisfying as a precise hatchet

All the hatchets I throw go everywhere except into the survivors... I can’t even hit them accurately when they’re standing still lol
...so don’t feel too bad about falling out of Huntress a bit, you’ll get your mojo back eventually🪓🪓🪓

We all at some point go through that time period of bad games. It is very normal in DBD.
While you’re on your break, try playing other killers until you are ready to play Huntress again. I’m an experienced Spirit main, and there’s been moments where I just cannot track people with her power to save my life.
It’s all about having the right mentality - sometimes you’re just not gonna have the right mentality to play even your best killer. Depending how you really feel, a little break could be very effective, as I’ve taken a few breaks from Spirit in the past by playing other killers like Billy, Blight, and Pig that I find pretty enjoyable.
Just because you’ve had a few bad games with Huntress doesn’t mean you’re skill with her is dipping. Once you’ve taken a little break, I guarantee you’ll be fine. Good luck with your future games!

Honestly I play her on console and people make her seem easy. If you run into a killer or juke its hard to hit people. For me I usually overthink and try and aim at them so it screws me over a bit. But she is so easy to loop and is so slow. It's not cool that I have to run around a rock 5 times before a pallet drop that I may or may not get a hit at or that you can crouch so easily. Plus after playing with aura builds its hard to use a build that can help me win

I'm a huntress main as well. I can miss all 5 hatchets in a row on my first try. When it happens I just trying to analyse what the ######### I'm doing wrong. Apparently I forgot to hold hatchets longer or misjudged center of screen. It could actually work in my favor because survivors start to think I'm a baby huntress. So I just give them hell after reload.

its called the yips. It happens now and then. You’ll come back around to her and dominate again someday.

Are you sure the problem is you lost your touch and not the devs screwed with her hit box? They did that once before and it was so bad they actually reverted it. You know it was a screw up if they undo it. Wouldn't be the first time they changed something and magically left it out of the patch notes.

After the nerfs... Please. He's frustrating to play as well and boring. His add-on are terrible. I'd know, Billy is my only p3

I know your struggle my friend she’s my main as well and some days I have good days and bad days

Clown is kinda a more forgiving huntress since you don’t have to hit direct hits to do well. He is also fun and very effective once your good with him

Huntress' hatchets are bugged right now. They spin by the end of their handle and wildly fly up and down, changing their accuracy and trajectory. Maybe that's partly why you haven't been able to play her well?

I recently went back and was playing around with my P3 huntress which I'm only mentioning P3 to let you know I put alot of time in her before. I notice I have to play her different now. I seem to have to aim a bit higher on most maps because any random obstacle like a rock, box, barrel or pair of jordans on the ground my hatchets hit on release. Was very frustrating first two games when I got EZ from some trashcans on deathhook when my hatchet kept going no where. The nerve.

No for me he's not.

Getting those curves at loops and threading the needle as him feels so good

He's on my 'Never play again' list, along with myers, pig, plague and blight.
He's just so easy to predict and so beatable at loops imo.

I love clown, also one of my mains

He requires good patience. Survivors are familiar with Billy's timer so you need to anticipate the move.
