These Queue Times are getting out of hand!
MMR isn’t going to save no one from these queue times. Once survivors get to that top ranking MMR level, queue times are going to take forever. If killers don’t want to play during the night for some reason, I doubt they are going to want to play against top ranking survivors everytime they queue.
I would play killer just to make the queue time shorter for other players. BUT I play on switch and that ######### FPS is #########. 10fps BHVR FIX YOUR GAME

My hope is a decent MMR reveals that ranks are only loosely correlated with skill, and that was the takeaway for me from the January dev update.
Also, if queues are long on one side there's a simple remedy: play the other side.

I get games in about 3 minutes by the night as survivor. After midnight the queues get longer... but it's very late, so that's probably why. Also, maybe it's a region thing the super long queues...
But if MMR is right, the best killers will take the best survivors. I see quite often my friends that are rank 1 killer getting unexperienced survivors and then those rank 10 killers get the red ranks. I'm not gonna put too much faith in this, but it should reverse it.

He just said why he won't

I said this in a similar thread and I'll say it again.
You know when you play CoD solo. You join a room. Your team is made up of randoms and the entire other team is in a clan? You know you are at a disadvantage and it's going to be an uphill battle. That's what it feels like to play killer most of the time. I'm not just talking against a swf. If the survivors are solo but have brains it can get very frustrating. Even if you are a skilled killer, unless the survivors make a mistake or are goofing off, the odds are stacked against killer because it's 4v1. Many find killer frustrating and would rather play something else. Unless the devs find a way to make killer enjoyable, the que times won't improve.

Yeah my bad...
So some real advice for OP. If you're playing on Switch because you need to be mobile on a small screen I suggest trying Stadia on your phone and bluetooth a console controller to your phone. If your internet is decent and you set resolution at 720p the game quality is fine and you don't burn through too much data. Benefit to Stadia is then you can also play from any laptop using keyboard/mouse too.

This is exactly why I went on hiatus playing battlefield. If you play with complete randoms, it's hell man lol.

It's one of the reasons I stopped playing CoD. That and it felt like the game punished snipers. After MW2 I felt I was handicapping myself if I wasn't running around with a fully auto weapon with a fast snap to aim.

3 minutes that’s it? Where are you from? I’m in California and queue times are 10 minutes. Also, the streamers I watch around the country wait a MINIMUM of 5 minutes. Are you sure you only wait 3 minutes?

To be fair, Quick scoping is complete bs and the reason I put the game down after mw2. Come on man you're running around with a sniper 1shot everyone at various ranges. GTFO lol

I'm sure. I played today from 9:30 pm till past 11 pm. Yesterday from 10 pm to 12. I'm from Brazil. I don't get to wait 10 minutes here. Otherwise I'd probably play other things (that's actually one of the reasons I don't play killer that much... 10+ minutes to find a match during the day, when I usually try to play). Maybe there are more killers playing at the time in South America, since I get matched with people from other countries too. But... yeah, it doesn't take that much time here.

This is my dream scenerio for MMR. You're put into a queue of survivors. It's a bit random and the game puts you up with someone who it feels is roughly the same as your group, but it turns out that your group and the individuals inside synergize really well and you perform better as a group than what your personal individual MMRs would suggest.
At the end of the game where all 4 of you escape, you are given the option to queue up as a group again. If you all 4 agree to you're put into a high rated match. Your personal MMR stays roughly the same but the group MMR increases significantly and you are now put up with a higher ranked killer.
This is the potential that MMR has. I don't think that this is how they've programmed their MMR. I fully expect this not to happen and based off of the last test, I expect a hot pile of crap.

After rank 16 everyone should just be put into the same matchmaking. MMR isn't going to help this game at all.

Except the other side is less fun

so MMR in essence says I play trapper and i've got a rank rating of 70, and you have a rank rating of 1 against trapper you won't get matched against me unless you're in a swf with others that are closer to me. it'll be the same as it is now eventually where people who suck against a killer end up facing the high end killer players. i doubt it will take into account any factors like disconnects, people intentionally lowering their ranking against a certain killer, and like before there is no way for us to even know if it's taking into account anything or if it's just random match making like it was last time with mmr!

I dunno, lately queues have been really fast, near instant actually

I still remember before dedicated servers, I was waiting for a lobby for 2 hours and 34 minutes and still nothing, so I gave up. The lobby times are annoying sometimes, but I just remember what it used to be like and I'm happy it's not nearly as bad

When I say I was a sniper I mean I was laying on my belly in a grassy knoll and shooting people across the map. I didn't do that quick scoping barret crap. I even used the M21 EBR(semi auto rifle). I actually played "like a sniper" in CoD. Ever since MW2 maps have been made smaller and smaller, more obstructions are in the way and people with fully auto AR's can accurately hit you from across the map. Hence why I stopped because the game hated snipers.
If they were to ever take out aim assist from CoD. SOOOOOOOOOO many people would suddenly suck at the game if they had to actually aim.

I'm glad they nerfed you. Nobody likes snipers man lol
