I believe that the new clown is weaker than the current one, what do you think.
The new gameplay that they want to put the clown in is fine, but I feel that 4 bottles are too few.I only use the new bottle for when I hang someone to get to the next gene faster, but I have to reload and there I lose the time I gained. The pink bottle is weaker than the current one. Regarding the new add-ons, we will only miss the exhaustion ones ... But this was good.
This new clown is still with the weak killers, you can't compare him to a spirit, Freddy, pyramed, ...AND At least I wouldn't use him vs a swf.

How exactly is the new pink/purple one weaker than before? Nothing changed about it, to my knowledge.

Fun fact: New Clown is literally just current clown with decreased reload time and an additional type of bottle. Nothing has been changed (apart from reload speed), things have only been added.

He's definitely stronger. His reload is way shorter, and I'm actually seeing a lot of usesfor his yellow bottle.
His tonic (the pink one) is unchanged.

But what is the difference, the current pink bottle slows down the survivors and the yellow one gives speed ... You can practically play only with the pink one and it's the same. AND Reload time is good but not a strong killer or within average, still weak

He's quite a bit better i believe.
The antidote is not for traversing the map it's for chases. Get your side of the loop in antidote and the survivors side in tonic and you catch up almost 3 times faster then usuall
It wouldn't surprise me if Clown has no counterplay post start popping up in a month

It is correct but I do not see the new purpose of the new bottle so that the clown is a killer that can compete with Freddy, nurse, spirit and I even see it further down the line.

im sorry how is having one of his best addon which is the reload speed make him worse?
you literally can play him the same way as before if anything it is a strict buff.
Also he just came out and people are barely using the sonic tonic in chases despite how it combined with the tonic gets you nearly a meter difference in speed making looping him nearly impossible without using the pallet right away.

Very confused at how you consider him worse. The Tonic is literally the same.
He is current Clown with a faster Reload and the ability to move faster. I can think of ways to use the Antidote effectively just by thinking about it and all I do is play Survivor.

Its impossible for him to be weaker hes only gotten buffs and you don't have to use the antidote and play him the exact same way but buffed.

Time will tell if people manage to pull off cool stuff with the new bottle. His reload time alone means he's stronger.
But compared to what they did with doc, LF and especially Freddy it seems a lot more mild.

Buffing reload makes him weaker?
Small agitation effect using antidote on downed survivor, or antidote before pallet break to faster catch up to survivor, run faster to gens etc I can see good uses for antidote also. But if you don't like antidote play old Clown with built in Cork Stopper then.
The only nerf is Solvent Jug addon change, but Acid Vial is buffed and Pinky Finger, Flask of Bleach, Ether 15% is still there so yeah.

If you don't like the antidote, then you don't have to use it. Just play Clown with the tonic and a buffed reload speed.

He already had little to no counterplay at loops if you knew where to place his bottles. Chase was never his issue. That's why I'm so disappointed in the rework. Completely missed the point of why he was considered weak in the first place.

After a few games I believe the really good killers will know exactly how to use his power. He won't become top 5 but he'll definitely be high B/A tier imo.

Given that his weakness isn't the chase, a speed boost ability and less downtime from power usage should be the perfect buff.
It's a symmetrical speed buff so it's not a chase focused buff, and it improves patrol times and thus map pressure which was ACTUALLY his problem.

In theory, yes. But base bottles are still at 4 and there's a switching time between the bottles. You end up reloading more overall and spend more time animation locked on top of that. The returns diminish quickly.

He can't Exhaust survivors anymore with add-ons... and his alternative bottle increases their movement speed for 5 seconds... he's definitely weaker.

Dont forget the addons to increase the amount of bottles up to 6

Gas expands slower (big nerf imo), you lost the exhaustion addon and you have a bigger cooldown on being able to hit after throwing a bottle (got introduced with the recent patch in the live version). And they added more effects to gas exploding so you might lose survivors easier.
So if you want to play clown as he previously was, he has definitely been nerfed. The reduced reload timer and speed bottle should make up for it but I'm not so sure about that.

You’re meant to use BOTH at TWO different parts of a loop. You time it so that Clown is getting a speed boost at the moment a survivor is getting hindered by a tonic. Now there should be zero chance a survivor can reach a pallet or vault in time.

Look, clown is objectively stronger now in one way or another. The only question is the magnitude of the buff.
