What if clown was affected by both bottles?
I don't care what numbers would need tweaking, buffs, nerfs, etc. to make it fair. I'm not after a balance discussion, simply want to ask:
Would people find clown more interesting to play as/against if he also had to watch out for his purple bottles?

Ew, no.

No. Making him slowed by his purple bottles would achieve similar results to Hillbilly's overheat; it would not negatively affect him in regards to strength too much as you would still have to insta drop pallets as Clown would still have a 15% speed bonus over survivors even while slowed. All it would do is significantly reduce the chances you have to use your already weak power and make him massively, massively less fun and more frustrating to play. The part about Clown that survivors dislike, the need to predrop pallets, would still exist.
This would be the only opportunity to use his slowdown gas. Using it anywhere other than where the survivor is cornered would result in no extra distance gained at all.

Yeah no lmao

That would cripple him to the point of unplayability. That's basically asking to play against a 115 M1 killer, except even worse because now he's taking longer to do what other killers can do if he ever decides to use his power, and if he doesn't he'll likely be looped endlessly.

God no

He is allready pretty bad.

People already asking for a nerf?
Like... really?
12 -
I'm talking about a hypothetical in which any tweaks, buffs, nerfs etc. that are required to balance this idea are also made. Thus im not particularly interested in "balance discussions". I'm interested in if it would it be more interesting, if it was balanced around that idea

No that would be horrible.
More interresting question. What if when the 2 gasses overlap they create a chemical explosion that stuns clown and damages survivors if they are inside it

Maybe spend 20 seconds reading the original post before complaining.

Creative idea. Sounds pretty strong, too.
5 -
Nah
Way more interesting and interactive like this.
3 -
That would make him garbage IMO. He wouldn't be able to use his slow down at any loop because then he'd have to either run the loop quite inefficiently to dodge the gas or take the gas and move slower. I don't think there's anything interesting about that.

Seriously, Clown drinks that purple tonic
...a cloud of it wouldn’t even phase him
4 -
Please, god no.
1 -
Yet we have Hillbilly overheat.
2 -
That really doesn't make any sense. Clown wouldn't be able to use his purple bottles effectively. Any slowdown he would gain from them would be lost trying to avoid them, or running through them.
No amount of balance could make that fun. It would destroy him.
3 -
you might as well just take away his power entirely at that point
2 -
That thread complaining that Clown got nerfed would actually be true if they added this

I mean, if you make his bottle slow from 15% to 50%, then yes, i would take the risk. But if you want to do it with current slow, that can't even always guarantee you a hit when survivor is going from one vault to another, slowed by tonic, then no. Absolutely No! He would be terrible.

LMAO

He would be unplayable if tonics hindered him.
3 -
THat would make him worse than even the worst killers in the game and then some. I doubt he would even be playable anymore.
1 -
No. If he was slowed down by his purple bottles that would (as everybody else said) make him unplayable.
0 -
Nah, even if they were to balance him and make ite viable in terms of kill ratio it would make him too clunky and too much of a chore to play, thats one of the reasons they changed how Doctor blast works.
0 -
No. His purple is the only thing that makes him viable, at all. It makes him decent at countering looping. If he was negatively affected by it, that whole aspect of his gameplay would be gone.
0 -
No, there would be little reason to ever use his power.

Since I don't want to start another thread to ask this question.
Do you think zanshin tactics can work as training wheels to assist aspiring clown mains in placing bottle throws?

Mmmmmmmmmmwhy?

While we are at it, let's make clown stop moving to catch his breath after 10 secs of moving....

Idk ppl are saying that it would make him unplayable but woudl it? If clowns yellow bottles origionally didnt affect survivors but then they were changed to affect survivors, there would be a huge amount of backlash. Obvsiously it would require tons of changing and game balance accordingly but i think it could be interesting.

He's already a weaker killer, making him slower would just make him an F- tier killer

You know, I'm already a hard sell on why Survivors should see any benefit from the Antidote in the first place given how much help Clown needed to achieve parity. Nothing about your suggestion has moved me away from my initial position.

Oh absolutely. Clown is one of the very few killers where Zanshin is actually good, for the exact reason you stated.

But why though?
What poor soul in your mind told you to say this and be genuinely serious about this?
Do you need a doctor? Give you the 'shocking' truth?

(Omg thank you for actually reading the original post, most people are only reading the title and thinking they know what I'm talking about)
Yeah I think, assuming he was balanced appropriately, it would be interesting and actually require a bit more intelligence. Right now he is balanced, just boring (to me anyway).

Your comment is hilariously ironic, because if you actually read the original post you'd be shocked at the truth of what I actually asked and how non-serious it was.

Yea agree there's only so much you can do as and against when it comes to throwing the pink bottles which is why clown often isn't regarded as one of the funner killers.
