Survivor & Killer both stood on hatch...
So both are waiting for it to open. Is it just whoever presses the button first? I had a game just where the survivor was literally stood on it and I managed to close it still.

Killer takes priority, its better than survivor takes priority but the killer could grab them and can't close hatch leading to infinite standoffs

Yep, as far as I know it's whoever pushes the button first.

Not sure if I like that. The survivor I closed it on must of felt so scammed.

The killer gets the priority but you want to be standing on the opening spot first (so standing on the handle part). The survivor can still manage to get out if for some reason the killer isn't hitting the Close Button when it opens but the killer gets the first crack at it as long as they're standing on the right spot.

U guys sure killer gets priority? I've had a killer close the hatch mid Jump animation and I've gone right through the closed hatch still.

Exactly and I think only once I have not closed the hatch in this situation. I am most of the time dropping someone off at the hatch but i do believe killer should get priority as in this situation it means the killer has won the game and the survivor is getting a chance a an escape without completing there objectives.

You weren't at the handle part (you were on the side of it).
The survivor was positioned incredibly well so you may have been SOL either way but I've found that as long as I stand at the handle part of the hatch, the killer will always close it before the survivor can jump out.

I have seen both in the past but I can say for sure that if the killer stands directly on the Hatch the survivor doesn't get a promt. You can use this as a killer.
