PC - rank bug?

Sorry, I'm new, so not sure if this is a known issue. I saw the rank bug thread, but what i experienced today seems like a different issue.
I was playing as survivor in a public match as Kate on the swamp map vs Pig. I was using sprint burst, DS, adrenaline, and kindred.
After finishing the match, I got +2, got the animation of my rank going up, then it lost a pip, and my rank went back down. The score screen showed me as back to red rank. The hud showed me as purple rank. I don't think I've ever seen this before.

Here it showed me going up to 4 and then dropping back down to 5.
Scoreboard shows me as 4, but hud shows 5.
