How Players develop
Just a random post how People develop in this game. (just my thoughts)
Killers:
Rank 20-15
Camp everyone to death because why not? the game does not tell you that thats a bad move (on mobile they do)
Rank 15-5
So once you have camped your way to green ranks you will get some survivor squads that will do gens when you camp someone wich will lead into some losses. You now develop some strategic thinking like goin away from the hook to find somebody else.
You also will form a perk build for your killer and start remembering the maps.
Rank 5-1
Here we go:
Youll face all variations of survivors now. With some basic knowledge you can reach rank 1 with ease but occasionally you will get a decent team that knows how to loop and how to abuse certain perks.
If you are competetive you will watch some videos and join the forum for more information on how to get better.
Finally you are capable of beating 90% of red rank survivors with ease 7% are challenging and 3% are unbeatable if your killer isnt nurse and you happen to play her like a god (Spirit can also work)
Survivor:
Rank 20-15
You have no idea what is going on but sometimes you increase your rank so you slowly get down the ranks
except you lose interest because you get camped every game
15- 5
you learn what the killers can do and maybe you are able to form some strategies against them but it isnt required.
you will get camped less and less because killers start to see that camping one person will lead into a 3 man escape most of the time + a depip.
5-1
Theres now 3 ways for survivors now
- The Meta Potato.
You have never learned how to adapt to killer playstiles, BUT you saw some videos on which perks are good.
Now you will run a strong build but you will stop learning how to get better becasue you think its the killers/ other survivors fault when you lose. Thats the 90% that are ez to beat if youre a good killer.
2.The Skilled Player
You have improved your gameplay with every match. You thought about your losses and started to make less and less mistakes. You dont need perks to give the killer a hard time. You enjoy challenging matches and try out many different builds. And its really fun to make less used builds work! You are the 7% challenging for a good killer.
And in My mind you are the goal for every survivor player to make this game as fun as possible.
3.The Skiller Meta Player
You like winning. You were number 2 but you want to win every match! So you equip the meta perks even if you didnt need them to escape the majority of your matches. You will use keys if youre solo because you cant trust the 90% potatoes. And you will win, almost ever. Unless youre against a killer with 4000+ hours. You are:
also the 7%
so whos the 3%?
Well its:
4.The Skiller Meta Player SQUAD OF DEATH
You want to win all of your matches and with that you really mean ALL OF THEM.
You grab 2-3 other players like you and go on a rampage. Decent killers will uninstall crying because you guys have all the perks, know the loops and usually know how to taunt. Its not fun for the killers, but you remember your journey from rank 20-15! All the camping will now be revenged. You will make them suffer for that!
You are the 3% Decent killers Can.not.win. EXCEPT:
the 0.5% of killers with thousands of hours that know every perk, map, loop, texture of the game. The 3% vs the 0.5 % are super extreme sweaty games. But they rarely ever happen because usually the 0.5% go against the 90% and the 3% go against rank 15-5 killers.
Of course there are other ways in how to improve, but these are the usual ones i come up with. There are squads of 90%ers but they still stay in the 90% cathegory.

I thought the post was funny and even reminded me that a friend of mine, who started playing with me back in may/june (I don't remember when Silent Hill Chapter was published) dropped this game after 2 weeks after heavy camping and tunneling.
I have to say that I see many killers achieving red ranks purely by facecamping and tunneling, because the survivors not always know how to pressure the killer back. And noed is there to help them get some kills to hardly get that bip to lean them forward. Also there's ruin + undying now giving them more credit than I think they should have, but that will go soon.
As killer, I watched some videos before trying and even because facecamping got one of my best friends out of DBD, I knew that wasn't fun and didn't want to do that (even though I did it sometimes at EGC after being a rank 16 matched against red ranks because whatever, but I stopped that because it's not the players fault, it's poor matchmaking, so whatever).
As survivor, I don't feel like I belong in any of these categories you listed. I never came to the forums to be competitive. I've watched videos and read stuff to improve my gameplays and usually record them to learn, but not because I want to become a rank 1 or anything. I just want to make the most out of my game, lasting more than 1 minute, especially since I bring "meme perks" usually. But I don't really give killers a great challenge as of now (I think, at least). I have a long road before getting remotely good and may even give up this game before achieving it.

Well you are right of course, it would have been a much longer post if i wanted to be detailed.
So by reading your comment you kinda fit into the "on the way to 7%" section but its just a joke post with some truth behind it.
I dont actually know if theres many facecamping killers in the mid ranks because im a killer main and when I started to play survivor i rushed through the ranks in like 3 days of playing. I just had the experience of a killer for my survivor gameplay.
But i guess many of the upcomming 90%ers are capable of losing to a facecamping killer. Ranks dont mean anything anyways, but maybe its not always 20-15 but more like 20-5. who knows?^^
