I see this a lot on the forums. People here will bash others just because they play a killer they don't like. Just because I don't like Deathslinger, doesn't mean I'm ever going insult or shun the people who play him. Also, stop judging killers who have a play style you don't like. You don't get to dictate how they want to play the game.
While we're on this topic, stop insulting survivors for running perks you don't like. Just because I despise Ds+UB and Dead Hard, doesn't mean I'm going to insult, shun, or blame the people who run them.
I'm tired of seeing this. Let people play the game how they want to play it.

this is always such a stupid thing to say, if we got to dictate we could not complain as others would just not be able to play that killer.....
and you can play the way you want, and others can judge you for it, up to them, welcome to the real world.
I have zero respect for players who do everything in their power to give themselves every advantage, that is just a sign of a weak player to me.

Are you talking about specific killers or killer styles? Killers determine the speed and style of the match. Doctor is going to cause a lot of difficult skill checks, Plague/Legion will encourage healing. The powers dictate the match.
My issue with killers is how they play in general since their behavior determines the overall match. Tunneling, camping results in less points overall, less fun gameplay at what the guarantee of 1K?
I played survivor for a few weeks and then went back to Doctor. I realized that tunneling/camping may guarantee 1K, but results in overall less BP for me, less fun for the camped/tunneled person. Once I started to break out and focus on ither people, BP started increasing and I got t-bagged/flashlights/general bullied a lot less. I say less because some survivors are just like that lol
So I think ones behavior as Killer is more important than the overall Killer choice. I will frown more upon a killer who tunnels/camps constantly rather than somebody who chooses a meta killer with meta perks lol

Idk about that. You can at least do something at windows with spirit and most people who play her rn aren't that good. But Deathslinger can just ads spam or quick scope so I feel like he is hated more

OP is talking exactly about this. Why would you attack "the way" someone played? If you say that someone have no skill, you're absolutely insulting them. If you don't have anything relevant to say, just say GG and go to you next match

I don't know about that. Nurse and Blight are both very powerful, but I don't think most people hate them. On the flip side, I know Deathslinger would probably land in the top 3 on that list but he's middle of the pack strength wise.

If I go against a Freddy with slowdowns, you bet I'm gonna laugh at them and give em hell. How many crutches do you need on a high mobility Killer? I'll admit 'Forever Freddy' was toned down slightly, but it's still a boring slog of a match as it is.

Yeah I never understand why people do that. People should be allowed to play whoever they want. That's why being a Spirit main is so tough because you get accused, bashed, and judged just for playing a video game character you like.

I agree people shouldn't be shunned for playing any killer/build/add-on. You bought it and you play it whichever way you like.
Except for Hag. Free shunning for anything to do with playing Hag.

I used to play a ton of hag daily before crossplay on xbox and racked up a lot of hate, I got some players who i went against kinda regularly and few just left the game if they knew it was my hag. nowadays I play like 5+ killers regularly and don't have a main other than hag since i got so good at her.
When your good at hag it makes her look easy to play to the other side which gets you called skilless trash and other things.

A mix, usually im aggressive until 1-2 gens are left but i keep the survivors out of the area of gens i want to defend last.
What happens is once i switch to being defensive i have a few traps in good spots that are away from my web so if needed i can commit to a chase if a survivor goes there.
edit: it does depend on the map tho, you can't just do the same thing on all maps and get the same results.

Nice, I usually play a mix as well. If I'm annihilating right off the bat I won't set any new traps unless I'm locking down a loop in chase. I usually don't even have a "web" though just trap high traffic spots or strong loops as I come up to them. Using the setting speed and distance add-ons exclusively here.

I prefer the duration+setting speed, makes it so they don't gain too much if they abandon the loop since i rarely cancel trap placements and if they stay/trigger the trap the duration addons if you are patient most of the time will get a hit.
I have been using the distance addons more nowsdays since it is more suited to how i play, also because im running low on duration addons XD.

I play Clown.
So what I get instead is a lot of implied “you’re full of crap” or “the survivors you face must be potatoes”.

Good idea, when I start running out of distance I'll give duration a shot. For build I use Franklin's, Third Seal, Monitor, and BBQ. Just works well with how I play and buys so much time with people desperate for their item, makes hook states longer, and the bonus BP lol

I switch up my builds a lot. my first one was nurses, M&A, MYC, and STBFL. it was a heavy pressure build where i didn't play nice, this was before she was even buffed and i was still new to her yet somehow it worked out a lot.
Then i used MYC, STBFL, pop, and whatever i felt like. A standard all around build that just works as long as you get downs.
Currently im using Surge, pop, nurses, and STBFL but I think im going to try out some other builds soon since it surge is underwhelming.

Forever Freddy, iri hatchet Huntress, or Stridor Spirit. Those are the only iterations of any killer I would actually frown on someone for playing.

The best part is whenever I mention playing Freddy and 6 people go off about how OP and unfair he is and then I'm like "Yeah, with the Garden Rake" and suddenly everyone's scrabbling to claim that Pallet Freddy is also unfair and unbalanced...
