Survivor vs killer wait times...

I play both sides, I'm a good killer and I'm a good survivor.

I'm bad at both to a degree however I enjoy most games I play.

What's not fun is waiting 10 (sometimes 15) minutes for a survivor match to be found, when a killer match takes seconds after readying up.

I can not say swf are respectable and toxic killers are fun but I can vouch for maybe switching sides on occasion

You don't need to win everygame or feel like you have authority every match just maybe relax and enjoy the small things on occasion

The game should track which side you tend to play and offer more BP or something for daily rituals from the other side. That's the easiest fix I could see, although I guess it would not matter as much for people with 3+ years who probably have maxed out builds anyway.

And yet the devs keep doing things that encourage more face camping like the undying nerf. So strange.

I must have 100 plus messages from survivors complaining in my chat history.

I play survivor too but also hate waiting, and it does make me upset when I get camped and tunneled, mainly because my team is not SWF and can't figure out how to handle it. So what I typically do is if a Bubba or cannibal is facecamping I suicide myself to avoid the risk to the rest of the team.

Sometimes I have to wait a few minutes even during peak times during the day when survivor wait time use to be seconds.

Now it takes a few minutes during the day. At night it takes 10-15 mins.

I am a survivor main. I don't want to play killer. But I do cuz every once in a while cuz the dailies are always killer dailies.

I try to ignore the daily but sometimes I'm tired of waiting for a survivor game so play 1 killer game and quit.

How do they entice killers with more BP? If you're thinking BBQ, yes and no, as that consumes a perk slot.

Fallout the Frontier mod came out yesterday, for New Vegas. Twisted Metal style cars with cannons, questlines with branching outcomes and a huge playable state of texas as big as the rest of the game and dlcs. The nexus sites came back up so if my queue time is too long once I get onto dbd today (after I make my coffee in a bit slept a long time today) then I'll just jump back onto raid shadow legends or geta round to installing the Frontier since I downloaded it last night before I passed out.

What's sad is that it used to be the other way around. Killer queues were long and survivor queues were nearly instant. How times have changed.

Most people take BM to heart that's why people don't like to play killer a lot, and it can be stressful. I've said this before, but going in with a mindset about not winning is generally the best idea. I tend to win a majority of my games more relaxed than I ever did when I stressed out about it. I play whatever killer I want, and I generally play clown, and he is perfectly viable even against some hardcore swf teams. Always go in with the mindset about not winning or losing, but trying to enjoy the best of the match, and ignoring the toxic manners if they choose to be that way, and it'll be a lot more fun for you in the end. People are going to be toxic, it happens on both sides, and if you are more relaxed. You are more than likely to process information about how you can be a better player in the end of the round, and fix the mistakes if you made any that round in the next round! :) If people followed what I said, then there most likely would be more killer players.

There's are really simple fix for asymmetric queue times: offer a small incentive to swap to the side in need of more players.

This could be bloodpoints, but I honestly doubt even something like 10k per game would tempt players that much. I'd try 20-30 Shards per game to all players who queue on the side in need of more people. (Obviously, this bonus would only be available as long as one side's queue times were beyond some threshold and in desperate need of balance.)

I'd take Shards in exchange for that, but not BP.

I can get plenty of BP but Shards are always in demand for me.

I play killer. I see the BM. Ignore it.

When I play survivor, I see the killer BM. Ignore it.

It goes hand in hand. I think what is frustrating for killer is you don't really have the time to BM whereas on survivor any form of time waste is helping.

Different time of day, other region and/or platform.

I tried multiple times to bring people to always include such info in these kind of discussions but without long lasting success.

Sometimes I think that such info should be displayed directly from the forum account like in other forums, it would make these discussions much more comprehensive. But it just is like behaviours posted statistics, without any real correlation.

Just the other day I killed 2 guys who were trying to bully me, 3 gens remain so I have to look for the other 2 survivors, I play on PS4 and because I have restricted privacy no one can send me msgs except for my friends, I had to also restric the people that can follow me because in those 2 mins of game left, those 2 guysI killed started spamming the follow so that notifications wouldnt stop popping on my screen.

It's not just the laughing part, it's the annoying part, I can stand the Teabagging, the click click, the msgs made me laugh at first but when you get so many notifications It gets boring and repetitive, I think I've had like 2-3 times a survivor has said gg to me, and one of those times the guy said It because he remembered me from the forums.

Im not trying to say Im the best killer on this game but like most veterans I know exactly how the game works, the distance a killer is able to hit a survivor through a window, the time It takes a survivor to drop a pallet, strong Jungle Gym setups, that's what a rank 1 has to know after all and that makes me get the 3k about 90% of the times and people just keep laughing and being mean.

Just because you are good doesnt mean people are gonna stop doing what they want. Go check good killer streamers like Truetalent if you dont believe me. Every killer on this game, good or bad has to deal with toxicity, if you have thick skin and a good sense of humor like me you wont care ######### about It, but most people dont feel specially good when they get so much of It.

I really love ur idea. But it's impractical.

That means I can just play killer, go afk, and do other things and recieve free points.

Than can we have more of those events? When was the last time these events took place? I been playing for almost a year and never came across such event.

Thats simply wrong. Killer dont earn more than survivors, survivors ignore a lot of bp they could make.

I play solo survivor, and i have often more bp than the killer. But then, i do totems, i do unhooks, and i do gens, and i do chases, and in most cases, i escape.

Being solo also means genrush is not that common, and longer games mean more bp.

It isn't about winning or losing.

If i lost and it feels like it was my fault then i don't mind, but the way this game works it just comes down to math and the rotten core of the game.

there is no mindgame in most loops if you know where to stand. Many loops are full of gaps and holes to see the killer or their glow making them boring and unfun to deal with.

On the other hand when i play survivor i go "man i screwed up!" or in the case of huntress "######### LAG" when the killer catches me. it is never because the killer did something.
