Stuck on a black screen with a small "light" rectangle while playing with the twins.

I "parked" Victor at the start of the game next to a devour hope totem. After a while, I hear people near victor, so I switch back to him. Then, this shows up:
A black screen. I managed to go back to Charlotte once, but when I tried again I got stuck there. I could hear Victor like I was controlling him, and I could "spin" the camera as the small rectangle in the center would change colors, but I couldn't control him. I could also hear people near me with the killer instinct. No pounce, no movement, no switching back to charlotte. This happened in Lampkin Lane.
