Why does EVERY single dress and long skirt cosmetic in this game have a side slit?
Yes, I went through all of the dresses/long skirts, including the Rift ones and every single one of them have a side slit or a big opening of some kind on the side.
I don't know why this bothers me but it does. It was cool the first couple times but do the artists know that not every single dress and skirt has an opening on the side? Just takes away the uniqueness for me. I know it's ultimately a dumb thing to complain about but maybe an artist will see this and take the constructive criticism and design the dresses a little different in the future?

To make people talk about stuff on the forums that isn't about "nerf this" or "buff that".

I suppose is there to make running somewhat beliable, unless its a very broad long skirt or a miniskirt is very hard to run with one because you cant use the whole arch of your legs.

Laurie Strode and Nancy have regular ones

This is more of an issue with the skirts that go to the ankle.

I guess that is true although not very realistic as there are plenty of skirts and dresses in real life that don't have a slit.

True, but they are not used or designed for running, a common trope in spy/survival/action genre is the girl with the long tube skirt slitting it so she can run and kick ass easily in the middle of a party.

Slits along the sides of dresses should be nerfed!
Someone had to say it...

It probably would just look weird with the physics of the game. There have definitely been lots of clipping issues even with things like the butchers aprons.
Pyramid Head wears a huge dress in the movie but in DBD he has the slits too.

Does Lisa's do this, too?

Have you ever tried to run in a skirt? It's not pretty. Or particularly feasible. Because your damn legs are stuck together and you can barely move them, so it's either hike it up and show of your underwear or rip the damn thing so you can do more than a brisk walk.
Sure, a particularly loose skirt doesn't have the same problem, but I don't think there's any loose skirts in DbD.
Edit: Phrasing...

What if the OP wants to constantly trip over a dress as long as he/she gets to look pretty?

To each their own, but maybe the term "survivor" should be reimagined

...
okay, so now that you've said that, I wanted to say that I've always hoped for some incredibly out of shape survivor to join the bunch. (i.e.the survivor gets stuck when vaulting over windows, flops out of lockers because he/she has no muscle to stay upright for so long, gets Exhaustion from performing any interaction, slips and falls over when making sudden turns, etc.)
THAT would be a dream come true.

Dbd aside, isn't it the only way to run in this kind of clothes?

I mean if the dress didn't part in some place the survivor would likely trip.
A concept art designer would likely be thinking of these kinds of things when designing any outfit so it stands to reason it would be the same in game.
