Did 3 gens, escaped, lost pip?!
It was a gen rush game. I repaired one Generator by myself, other two with Nancy who ran Prove Thyself.
I fully repaired them, and got only gold Lightbringer, and lost pip bcs I let the Killer down me at exit gates so he wasted a little bit more time.
What I did wrong? I repaired Generators too fast to get rewarded? I was overperforming? What happened? Why I lost pip?

Yes, you guys went too fast
The only points you would have gotten were from repairs. Everything else from your description, you'd get virtually zero points on.
It's why I get baffled how many people gen rush, especially when BPS or something is in play. You're losing a ton of points by rushing through as fast as you possibly can...

You blame me for gen rushing? But what should I have done? Do totems and prevent the perk from appearing that the Killer might not even have? Or make the Killer chase me when he chases others? What a biased statement.

You asked why you didn't get more points and I told you. There's no bias to it; you didn't gain a ton of points because your team flew through the gens (thereby making you not get boldness points by doing totems or being in chases and not get altruism because no one was needing rescue or healing; half of your potential points are minimal now).
If you want more points and the killer is not very good, then yeah, you kind of gotta "force" them to chase you or you're not going to score a lot of points.

I mean... the emblem system tells you what it thinks you did wrong.
You got Bronze for both the Benevolent and Chaser emblems. Meaning you needed to do more unhooking and healing your teammates for the Benevolent emblem and got in more chases that went better for you for the Chaser emblem. If you want specifics, you can mouse over the emblems and the game will tell you what you get (and lose) points for.

I didn't ask u why I didn't get lots of bloodpoints. I asked why I didn't get rewarded, why I lost pip. For what reason you are thinking I care about bloodpoints I've got in this match?

Actually, yes.
You get pips and points for playing in FOUR CATEGORIES.
By your own admission, you only cared about one of them. It is therefore not surprising you de-pipped.

You need to do a little bit of everything to pip. The reason is if one person on the team is a god looper and occupies the killer for so long. Everyone else is free to do gens and get out. That's why you don't pip for just doing one thing. It's the same for the looper. Their chaser might be iridescent but everything else would be bronze. If you want to pip you need to repair a gen, get chased for awhile, heal/save someone, cleanse a totem, open a chest, pallet stun the killer. All sorts of things. If you do just one or two then you won't pip.
There are times when the killer is playing very poorly or they are new. They aren't hitting or hooking people so there's no way to rescue/heal someone. If you get one of those killers your best bet is to just finish the match and start the next one.

My question now. Why should I have done?
- Be chased? He was already chasing others. Running towards him and saying "chase me" via teabagging or other means would be rude and inefficient bcs I deny the Survivors being chased efforts. It is called teamwork when they get chased so others can do gens.
- Do totems? Why I should spend plenty of time to prevent a perk from appearing that the Killer might not even have? Furthermore, NOED is a rare perk surprisingly, so sending time on totems to get only 1k bloodpoints for each is not great thing I can afford.
- Save from hooks? I am not meta Survivor, I don't run Dead Hard, DS, Unbreakable, I can't afford myself risky saves when others can do it, and they already do it. I see them with Kindred.

I don't know why you're throwing a fit at me.
You've been given your answer by myself and FFirebrandd (their answer is better though; BP gained and emblems gained are related and similar but not a complete crossover).

My standard perk load-out right now is Botany Knowledge, Kindred, Spine Chill, and We're Gonna Live Forever.
None of those aid in getting safe unhooks. I still get them constantly. "I can't afford myself risky saves when others can do it" is coward-speak, and it explains why your Altruism score is in the hole.
If you wanna gen-jockey, and EXCLUSIVELY gen-jockey, that is certainly your choice. But you can't then turn around and whine when the game noticed you don't do anything to actually interact with the Killer, even when it comes to saving his victims on hook.

1: You don't have to teabag to get the killers attention. If he is commited to chasing one person you can attempt a body block to take a hit for them.
2: Totems are worth doing if your team is doing well. If you got a few gens done and the killer is barely applying pressure, ease up on the repairs and look for totems. He may not be running NOED but you will cry if you ran circles around him all match only to get one shot+face camped at the end.
3: You do not need perks to make a rescue. Just be sure the killer is no where near by and don't run to the hook. If he see's your tracks going for a save he will likely go back and trade. If you make a rescue and the killer comes back to the hook, try to grab his attention so the person you saved isn't tunneled. If a save is made, you both sneak away and all the killer can see is a blood trail. There's no other option for him other than to tunnel. It's counter productive to pass up the chance to hook someone again and there are no other targets. If you unlock Borrowed Time I highly recommend it. Don't assume the person your trying to save has DS. Also don't unhook right in the killer's face without BT if you can help it.
Most important. If the killer isn't giving you any opportunities to make a rescue then just don't go for it. You'll only be adding to the body count. Do gens and escape.

2 generators, 2 saves, 2 chases that you escape, and escape the trial. Pretty much what you need to pip at red.

- Bodyblock you say? It can be helpful, but what if it is a Killer with in-built one shots like Bubba? What if it is the Killer who can down fast like Huntress or Spirit? What if the Killer has STBFL so taking hits is rather detrimental than helpful? What if it is Myers with 99% Evil Within? In that match played against Plague who made me broken. What should I have done there?
- That Plague didn't apply pressure. Instead, she was looking for easier targets eliminating which would make her game easier - guy who was just unhooked and who had no DS. Still have to do Totems against Campers and Tunnelers?
- You didn't address the fact that I saw others running to hooked Survivors to get rescue with Kindred. You mean, I should have ignored the Kindred value and try to reach the hook first? And again, I was broken, and the Plague was messing around the hook. We couldn't even get Benevolent points for healing.

You ignored the fact that I use Kindred and that I saw others running to the hook...

So, first I will.say the emblem system is busted. I think it should be nearly impossible to de-pip if you win.
Beyond that, think about the POINT of the emblem and ranking systems. Its a test. Doing well at one thing well isn't enough at red ranks. You have to be good at everything, and consistently prove it. And if you consistently only doone thing in the game, then the emblems did their job: kept you from ranking up and showed you that your playstyle needs to change to continue up the ladder. Besides, if you lose some rank progress, it doesnt actually affect you negatively in any way other than reducing the difficult of the opposition. If this game was a fluke and you typically hop into chase to get that emblem up, then NBD.

1: For obvious reasons, never try to body block a chainsaw. If your the obsession, STBFL will lose stacks. If the killer can catch people quickly than just don't body block. It's a judgement thing. If gens are going well and you can afford to do other stuff than by all means. If the killer is kicking ass, stick to the gens.
2: If the Plague was tunneling/camping then I suggest just doing gens. You probably won't pip but if they aren't applying pressure, it's best to capitalize on their mistake. If they spend 5 gens camping one person to death and they have noed. They might get only 1 more person. more if your all grouped together.
3: If someone is running kindred and you can see someone going for the save then stick to the gen. Or other objectives. No sense everyone stopping gen progression to make a save. If the person going for the save suddenly makes a 180 and runs away from the hook. They are probably being chased. Then it's okay to go for a save.

Look, we aren't saying the system is flawless, or that you deserve to derank. We're just explaining how the system works and how to game it. You don't need to be so passive aggressive

One question popped in my mind.
What it its AFK Wraith and doing gens is the ONLY thing you can do unless you have Object of Obsession?

You are right, I DID.
YOU ignored the fact where I said I also run Kindred, and I also get unhooks regularly.
Kindred does not mean you are not responsible for unhooks. Everyone has pretty clearly answered your question by this point. The categories are very clear about how you score points. You can cite whataboutisms of VERY SPECIFIC examples if you want, but it doesn't change how Emblems are calculated. You know what you need to do. Either do it, and pip up, or treat this game like some sort of Metal Gear Solid game where you avoid as much contact as possible and lose points. It's up to you.

I am not selfish. I am fairly altruistic Survivor using Kindred who rescues his hooked friends when others are very busy.
This discussion was started because of one particular game where I had Kindred, others were agitated to get hooks, plague was messing around the hook, I was broken and had no Dead Hard and Borrowed Time. Trying to save that guy would most likely result in me getting downed or her starting to slug with Infectious Fright.
I think I did my best. I repaired Gens when others got tunelled. I didn't go for a very risky rescue against camping Plague bcs it was too dangerous and bcs I saw others who are healthy and can take a rescue with lesser risks.
I should have written more details about the match. I was too emotional.

From your description of the game, it sounds like you made the right call for both your and your team's survival. Problem is that the Emblem System has no way of knowing you ended up against a Killer who was camping. All it sees is you with nearly no unhooks and nearly no chase time and rates you accordingly. That's not good, but let's just say there's a reason why the Devs are working on a system to mostly replace the Emblems. Hopefully it'll pan out better.

It’s just as others say: You need a fair amount of points in all categories to pip.
Sadly, there are gonna be matches where that seems unfair or impossible to achieve: Camping, Tunneling, AFK Killers, etc. can or will hurt your pips as Survivor. But don’t forget, it also depends on what you do against those kinds of players as well.
It’s even more frustrating if (looking at your replies) you don’t have the perks for any of those situations.
In the end: The system is flawed. I once got chased all match, escaped without being hooked, then lost a pip. It’s odd.

There's nothing in there that says you had to stay broken you could have cleansed and been at full health to go for the save.

The forums never cease to amaze me.

Same happens for killers at higher ranks. You can 4k a team and still lose a pip, or more often, get 0 pips.

Doing gens, bones, searching chests and escaping is probably enough to not de-pip, right?
