BHVR, why don't you block maps with bugs?

@Almo and behaviour , once you know a map has such a massive bug, and you aknowledge it, why don't you immediately block the map from the rotation of the maps?

For programmers, is it so difficult?

I guess the problem comes from the fact that for the cross play console players and pc players must share the same version of the game, right? So releasing patches on consoles is much more difficult right?

Btw I got fat shamed so many times myself on swamp, if you can't fix a bug just block the map for everyone's health, it's so frustrating

Oh btw if I ever find any player doing an exploit such as this thing every time I'll find you in a lobby it will be a direct facecamp, I promise, and i'll use my chainsaw to be the camper king

They could and they really want to, but that would require work so nothing is planned for now.

Sometimes it feels the average employee at Behaviour works 2 hours a day so even doing something as simple is hard work.

If they block maps with bugs then what map can we play on?

There was a coldwind map (with the shed) where an Undying totem spawned beside the tractor but couldn't be cleansed. Had to cleanse ruin 4 times (lost of course).

Fatshaming trees seemingly everywhere as well.

I definitely agree that bugged maps, especially ones like Backwater Swamp where there are multiple gens that only allow one person to work on it, should be fixed immediately or made unusable until they're fixed. However, I'm not sure why this question is pointed to Almo specifically? He's live balance, so he doesn't even work on maps.

As a dev myself, it would be very basic and simple to implement your idea. For example, League of Legends can disable champions to prevent people experiencing bugs/exploits with them), the same could be done here, being able to block Maps, Killer, Survivor and Perks.

I seriously think this should have been implemented for a long time, so instead of waiting 1/2 weeks for the bugfix (and having people abuse it and come to the forum to spam posts and reports), they could just spend 5 minutes blocking what's causing the issue.

The game is not as bugged as people think, stop blaming dead by daylight for nothing. There aren't billions of bugs, they are rare and sporadic, always.

People don't give enough credit to programmers and game developers. It's not just "press e to fix," some people here need to lay off the self-righteousness.

First off, you have to verify yourself that the bug exists, meaning it has to be reasonably common and reproducible. Any idiot can either modify footage or just exploit. Beyond that, there's a level of coordination required to disable this feature and that feature, which, after being planned, includes going into the actual game and making the modifications (which is difficult when you have millions upon millions of lines of code). That is then usually part of a hotfix that must be developed, checked, proofread to make sure that the hotfix doesn't cause more bugs, published, and then downloaded, meaning everybody gets kicked off of servers randomly for that option to be blocked.

When it's that complex (not including the multiple steps I glossed over), it's not worth devoting resources for a hotfix every week. Video game companies operate on notoriously thin margins, and a company as relatively small as BHVR just can't afford to invest that much into such an inefficient process.

Its been a problem for me too. The swamp map has a lot of trees where you think you can fit through them but end up not being able to. They should block these maps until fixed, and it should be fixed by now considering how old that map is. In my opinion I think they are either incompetent or too lazy to do it, and I know thats horrible for me to say, but what other reasons could it be apart from not caring?

Remember when Wake Up bugged out and gave a permanent 15% speed boost to all actions including gens? Didn't deactivate that perk for that whole week it was a thing.
