I am tired of hearing “nerf DS”
i know, DS can be a bull crap perk, there is no disagreement in that, but when I enter discussions and see 3 nerf DS posts, its just baffling that so many people are still complaining about DS.
some people feel like their own “nerf DS” post is special and different then other’s, when it’s the same crap from each and every day. Just please throw the nerf DS posts in suggestions, I’d like to have actual discussion’s instead of same old “nerf DS”.
now, I do want a DS change/nerf, but I’m not going to act like it’s the end of the world, extremely frustrating yes, But I’m not going to make an essay rant that is completely copy and pasted from the other same post’s. (And yes I am aware that I am ranting about rant’s.)

tbh, short of storming BHVR's offices and holding them at gunpoint or something, the absolute wave of "nerf DS" posts is more likely to cause a change than one thread in suggestions the devs will most likely ignore. It's annoying for us, sure, but it has to be annoying BHVR too, and hopefully sometime in the next millennium they'll get the message.

what is baffeling is that we had years of complaining about that perk and nothing gets done...yet undying...oh dear lets make quick work of that.....

This has always been a problem with this forum and unless the mods/BHVR start enforcing a "one thread per topic" policy, it'll always be a problem here.
Everybody wants to have their own thread about beating a dead horse rather than just discuss things in the other threads already open on beating a dead horse.

Let's face it... the devs aren't focused on strong or META perks right now
They seem to be focused on making weaker perks viable so survivors have options
And they nerfed undying cause Entitled survivors don't like things that change their own playstyle + Undying was way too strong against solo's
Also makes you wonder why they didn't add the buff to Open Handed to the PTB

But all the "nerf DS" posts look so pretty next to the "nerf spirit/freddy/camping/tunneling/etc" posts. They really complement each other.

Uh, you realize that people wouldn't "still be complaining about DS" if they actually nerfed one of the most busted perks in the game, that has been complained about for ages, right?

Maybe if they actually balanced the perk there wouldn't be so many discussions about it. People aren't gonna stop complaining just because there's lots of DS threads.

DS has been nerfed three times already. I think it needs a fourth personally, but it's not really accurate to say they've done nothing.

Because that is literally a busted perk paired with ruin. Even your fellow killer community agreed with that.

DS is not the end of the world and as annoyed as I'd be I also wouldn't care if it didn't get changed. I just have a problem when anyone can say I didn't tunnel and I still get hit. For example from the other day:
I was playing Pig because I had her ambush ritual. I hooked the obsession and left to go find someone else. A generator got done and someone unhooked the obsession so they were going to the boxes. Great so that's one less person I have to deal with for at least 30 seconds (they weren't near a box). I start chasing someone else, down them, trap them, hook them. The obsession had their trap off at this point so I could go after them again, but not ideal since I had Dying Light. So I start looking for survivors around my 3 gen and behold, the obsession was the only one over there. So I chase them down, smack them, put another trap on them to keep them busy, and pick them up. I was hit with DS. HOW? I did not think it had been less than a minute. How did they have time to get their trap off (the first time), go back to a gen, get it at least another 25% done, get chased, AND STILL HAVE DS ACTIVE. There weren't any boxes near that gen either so it's not an arguable it took like 2 seconds to get to the gen, it couldn't have.
Anyways that's just my example of I arguably tunneled but it really wasn't.

At least those posts offer some feedback. You're right though its not like survivors complain about spirit freddy undying/ruin its only the killers lol.

Exhaustion perks are still among the strongest perks. So that nerf wasn't exactly hard.
Double pallets were removed. Correct
Pallets require now a minimum of skill, instead of being absolute save zones.
What happened to SC? Do you mean the general healing nerf? Strange how it's still meta, don't you think?
BT was buffed. Not nerfed. Before it could be used only once, but protected the unhooking survivor. Now it only protects the unhooked survivor, but can be used 6 times.

The introduction of Legion was a survivor nerf? Then the nerf of Legion must be a survivor buff. Right?
Anyway, when 2018/2019 were survivor nerf years, then 2020/2021 are killer nerf years.

I think it’s because so many get tilted when they play well only to lose because a entire team runs ds and they force you to proc it by deliberately getting downed or grabbed

It’s a one time perk, I seriously don’t understand how people complain about a perk that gets deactivated the rest of the match after the survivor uses it.

I somewhat agree. I think DS is fine as it is, albeit with a bit of a long stun, and the "nerf DS" chants are far too loud.

And by nerf you mean taking away infinites and healing times that literally broke the game and shouldn’t have ever been around. No matter how strong you thought old ruin was/undying is, they have never been comparable to the dirt that survivor had.

I am main killer but I like very much the DS and TB they are perk so useful but the defect is when I go against premades, they put it with the objective to be toxic and you get angry and you end up doing fececamp because you finish angry and then they tell you that you are the trash 🤷♂️ when you only want to have a fun killer game.
That's why it needs a reworking because premades survivors abuse it and you as a killer can't do anything against toxic teams and you lose in humiliating ways what generates that there are less and less killers in the lobby

I uninstalled the game and just checked to see if DS was taken out in order to tempt me back into playing lol what an unfortunate thread to see
Because there's three more survivors using it and each time it's a flat five second fugg you that resets a chase. A three second stun gives the survivor a chance to chase with no advantage but a five second stun gives the survivor, each one, a moderate advantage to reach a pallet or vault. If one is in terminal range you might as well DC because a gen or three will always pop in the time that re-chase concludes (the only exceptions are a wily Spirit or a lucky Trapper).

tbh I don't feel like DS is all that OP? Granted as a killer I've only peeked at rank 12... But I personally don't feel I've ever unfairly lost a game to DS. If anything on certain maps head on is more OP than DS.
Edit: Though it could be worth mentioning that I DO play a lot of of P-head, so I've likely denied more than a few DS's
