Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Artist in the Event queue while we work to fix an issue causing players' game to crash. The Artist will be re-enabled once the issue is fixed.

Vanilla (our Hosting Company) will be carrying out maintenance on their servers between the 24th June - 4th July, this might result in some temporary instability on our forums. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Why does the character change button become disabled while in queue?

Options

As the killer, after pressing the ready button it becomes disabled.

However it works in the survivor side, is it a bug?

I remember this working about half a year ago, if it is not a bug, why did they decide to disable it?

Mmr each killers gonna have a different skill rating based on how you play them. Survivors are just skins.

When the initially added the MMR matchmaking they removed it so killers couldn't use it to get easier opponents. Find survivors with a killer you never play then switch to your main killer for easier matches. They disabled the MMR matchmaking, but kept the MMR running in the background to gather more data with the idea that MMR matchmaking would be turned on again in the future.

They also mentioned something about it requiring a physical patch to revert to being able to switch between killers, though many are skeptical because of all the Chapter and Mid Chapter patches we have had during the time since MMR Matchmaking was turned off.

As was said, it’s because of the Killer specific MMR.

the devs didnt switch back to normal because they wanted to stay consistent and didn’t want to confuse players if they turned it on and off for further tests. It would also require a client sided update if they wanted to change this again
