Dear Survivors: Do gens
Seriously I don't get why I keep getting teammates that don't like doing gens like y'all scared of them or something?

because gens R boring...
3 -
That's exactly what the entity wants us to do.

I feel ya, I'll be chased by killer and what are my team doing? Opening chests, cleansing totems, messing around in the basement but not a god damn gen!
2 -
And if they get chased for once, they go down after less than 5 seconds...

Yep.

Did the first 3 gens solo last night. Felt surreal as heck. The killer can only kill one person at a time, there should have been progress anywhere else in the time it took me to solo 3 gens.
Feels equally weird to juke a killer for well over a minute, only to find that we're no closer to finishing gens than we were before I got chased.
2 -
They are scared and want you to do the gens so they can escape.
4 -
Survivors are rioting.
They've given up. Whether they live or die, they are just put into another trial. Enough is enough!
1 -
Hey. Cleansing totems is important.
Lots of games you should have won are lost to NoEd.
7 -
The game now is: overpowered killers that have instadowns, so many helps in chases, bloodlust, hundred of perks to find survs. If a mach last much is 4k for every killer, so survs only can gen rush to try to escape.
This way in a year a mach will last 5 min and would be so boring.

Just open the door and leave. Not exactly hard...

The part you are forgetting is that nothing has changed for survivors so.. survivors have always had the ability to bang gens and get out whenever they choose.
the only difference is that now if you farm the killer for bp, you need to know what you are doing and your team can't stand around picking their nose. Back then 3 survivors could be afk for half a match and still win.

if you can't fight them, you have to join them.

Its because the survivors realize that by not doing gens they get an undying + ruin nerf.
Play badly survivors, the DEVs will only buff you.

Totems are important but only after a couple of gens have already popped, I had a group I used to play with that would have at least two of the guys doing totems the whole damn time, I would run the killer for a few minutes and when I go down hear "I got my second totem" and the other guy would say he had two also, so maybe one gen done if the third guy is actually doing them, I swear I want to just DC and not even bother, why take the killer on a huge chase if no gens are gonna get done? I might as well let him get me so he can go after a damn totem hunter so at least when I get off the hook more than one person will be on a gen and we actually have a chance at surviving, if you have more than one survivor focusing totems at the beginning over gens you might as well just hand the killer the game on a silver platter because once people start getting hooked and no gens are popping it's a wrap against a good killer who can take advantage of that pressure.

I don't think the majority is purposely playing to lose. The reality is that killer is way too easy to do their objective while the survivor is too hard because of killer perks that are too game changing that simply hand the game over for having them equipped. Survivors need a lot of buffs, killers get too many 3 and 4ks by watching their perks win their game.

The funny thing is that some people (probably them) want to balance around those survivor.
They spend so much time complaining about OP killers, but cant take the time to learn to hold one button.
I hate this matches where i need to do 3-4 gens alone so much, but i cant switch to swf bc its too easy.

I disagree, survivors lose their matches because they're bots and make decisions that make me question how they even tie their damn shoes in the morning
If everyone separates and does gens the survivors have a extremely good chance at surviving the match.

See I get that you the person being chased want some vindication for all the time spent in chase. But a lot of people want a game and holding m1 on a gen is dull as staring at dry paint. Some survivors want to go for flashlight saves and head on's because its fun shocking right. Imagine playing dbd and looking to have fun as survivor. Let me pebble, let me mess around with chest hunting. I never got the fascination with escapes equal victory logic. If you loop the killer for 5 mins pat yourself on the back you don't need the vindication of everyone doing all the gen's.

So dying every match because nobody does anything is fun to you? I get wanting to have fun in a game but dying because other survivors is not fun at all to the people who actually want to win and can do all those things at the right time and still survive , there's a time and place for everything in this game , you can play however you want because I didn't buy your game and can't tell you what to do but this is a big problem with this game and it's why solo q is so terrible, some guy trolls the killer with all that ######### and then suicides on the first hook because "ItS FuN"

Are you saying that on average killer players are just simply better at the game? A killer bot wins most games, why can't survivor bots? I think its unfair that more is expected from survivors in order to win.

I agree with this statement. I know it's your main objective as a survivor, but if it's all you do then you leave the match with not only a pitiful amount of blood points, but you'll be lucky to pip in higher ranks.

Survivor is literally EZ mode when you have a good team , the problem is that alot of people are terrible at the game.
0 -
A good swf team shouldn't be required to beat a killer bot.

Reminds me of this game I had last night.
The Felix was running the Killer (Huntress) around for a while, like at least 3 minutes. I pulled Feng Min off a hook, healed them, did a totem next to a Gen and did a Gen. The Feng Min and other survivor (Claudette)? No idea because not a single Gen other than mine was done in that span. Like, how?

That's not what I was saying but thats ok we can agree to disagree on this one, I'm rank 1 on both sides devotion 33 but I guess I have no idea what I'm talking about
0 -
Jeez, who y'all getting matched with?
Every match me and my teammates manage to split gens fairly and do them whilst others are being chased, and beside the occasional idiot they all have common sense too
0 -
Oh, i can explain: Because there are so many of them!
I had several games where all my teammates where genallergics. I think they repopulate after the mori-change or something, like their natural predator died out.

You can argue that its unfair that survivor have a harder start. But its really easy to reach a point where both roles are the same, so it doesnt matter. Its normal for a asymmetrical game.
0 -
But if you do gens the killer camps you because you were "genrishing".
0 -
Normally the only reason I'm not on a gen is because I stay true to my medic playstyle and builds by making my way over to a survivor who I anticipate will be downed and hooked shortly. I like already being nearby when a teammate is thrown on the hook so I can do my job efficiently. If I was wrong about the hook, at least I'm already nearby to heal the injured quickly and get back to it.
0 -
Thats nice and you are free to choose your playstyle, but it can easily be a time waste.
Most of the time i can do half a gen in the time a killer hooks someone and walks to the gen. And when 3 people want to unhook and all leave their gen, you have a problem.
You have a whole minute to save someone. You dont get a bonus when you unhook earlier.

It depends on the daytime for me. But now is the problem that i didnt play since rank reset and im still rank 5. I get so many green ranks.

There's different reasons why I don't do gens.
I've worked with teammates to finish gens only for us to be screwed by NOED because no one cleansed a single totem. I try hard to find and cleanse at least 2 totems each match. Sometimes gens get finished quickly and I couldn't help.
If it's The Doctor or the Killer has Huntress Lullaby. I have slow reflexes and I can't hit the skill checks if they're messed up. I've gotten pretty good at normal skill checks but if they differ from the norm - yeesh. That just means exploding a gen over and over and over. So I try to do them and mess them up. I feel it's better to go find something else to do.
My PC barely handles the game. The reworked maps are lovely but they make my PC stutter and freeze. So constant missed skill checks again. If I'm alone, it's not so bad but I definitely can't work on one with someone else.
I feel bad not always doing gens, but it's not because I'm selfish or a coward - it's because I don't want to screw my teammates over by messing things up. I will focus on other things like cleansing totems or destroying hooks or trying to save a teammate.

ive seen so many games as killer were one person does gens I usually let him go with the teammates sucked at the game

No suciding is a scummy move no matter the circumstance. But you still havent explained why escaping means so much? You havent addressed the boredom that comes with m1 gening either.
Survivor is enjoyable to me for one reason. The chase. I will sit close by on a gen if it gets a killers attention but again you looping the killer for a prolonged period and expecting all surviors to end the game in that time period is just sending us all back to the queue. What did the other survivors get out of the game.
Oh yes an experiemce of DOING SKILL CHECKS yes that's what we all want right? You dont get this is not what a lot of people want from dbd they want the back and forth of the chase.
0 -
While I can agree doing gens isn't the most fun thing, I don't mind people doing the other stuff you mentioned you can absolutely trade chases and do some other things you might consider fun , but there's a right time for that and you can escape AND have fun if you pick the right time to do it , I don't mind the back forth chases or whatever it is as long as whoever trades off gets a gen done so it's not a total waste , to me being a skilled survivor means you can have fun doing all that stuff but still win the game because it was done correctly and benefitted the team in the process
0 -
Exactly. I always think survivors should get atleast 2 gens done before doing totems or looking in chests.

Lmao
*pops one gen*
Killer: thats it I'm camping
