A thing to know aboutoverly greedy saves.

As a killer, I keep seeing survivors pursue this bad habit of downed survivors glitching themselves underneath the hooked survivor to make a pickup impossible. I will assume that the all-knowing statistical devs are aware of this problem and think it is healthy for the game to keep existing.

Why do survivors do this in the first place? You let me facecamp two survivors for the price of one. I don't need to leave you two - if you lose half of your team, two survivors cannot do 2 / 3 generators on my watch.

I know the average survivor is a potato, but why have I been recently encountering this silly phenomenon of survivors failing a save, but then staying as a slug near the hook?

Ignoring all the sarcasm and vitriol, Saw a vid on YT where you see the survs pulling off an unbreakable-bt-unhook type play after wriggling under the hook. Maybe the other players heard of or saw it and think it's easy to replicate and try it way too early?

Could just be a new fad.

No clue though. Makes no sense, takes the fun outta the game when they do it early, especially if nobody comes by and they can't get themselves up.

Had a game like that and felt bad for the poor sods, wasn't camping them, but they got left to rot. Dunno if their team was protesting the glitch or just that selfish.

They will be the same ones that come on here and whine about “campy killer ruined my fun”. If a killer leaves the opportunity to occupy 2 survivors for the price of 1, they are a fool.

This isn't anything new. It's been around for a while, it just died off when people realised they were idiots for it. Seems to be making a reappearence lately though, and as you say, no killer is going to just walk away when you have been handed pretty much 2 free kills. The best part about it which always makes me laugh is when the one who's under the hook accuses you of camping the hooked survivor. Simple response: Don't give me a reason to do it then. I would just love to see into the mind of people who do this just to see what they actually expect to happen.

I actually used to play with a duo that would do this ALL the time and get our team killed. Refused to believe this was horrible strat, and just blamed the killer everytime.
