Should dbd introduce a pet type killer?

Basically what I'm saying is the killer could have a mechanic sort of like the twins but you don't need to control the other killer or pet. Im not exactly sure what the pet could or should be able to do but I think the idea would be interesting but hard to balance

    Like have a beast or beasts available as AI. Or maybe control the crows to give information to the killer and have them follow the obsession and give that animal the terror radius? I can see them making something out of that. Maybe that might even get them to build a decent AI for DCs.

    They could do something like HELL EMBER from identity v. ( apthough maybe not as complex, due to control layout?)

    That killer basically can throw 2 dolls ( killer sized in IdV) that reveal aura of survivors they can see. They tend to stay in a place like sentry wards, but can be buffed to become mobile. He cqan also swap places with those dolls, but that removes the mobility. The dolls can be dismantled. Google it for th full kit.

    That would require a good AI for the pet and they said in one of the latest Q&A they are currently not looking into this.

    that said, I still think they actually are looking into it, so bots and also an AI based killer may very well come in the (near) future. But they are currently at a state where they don’t know if or how long it will take them. So revealing it now would just make no sense.

    transparency is good in some cases, colorblind mode was one of those things that would have been great to communicate about earlier. But possible killer powers and the like not. It should still be a surprise when it finally comes.

    OP clearly stated a pet like Victor but that you wouldn’t control. Why are half of the comments just ‚Victor is a pet‘?

    Killer will always be humanoid killers who stand on 2 legs. Thats the standard model, i dont see them making killer mains thats any different cause that would take a whole new model and alot of work. Its bhrv after all

    That’s why OP is asking for a pet for the (humanoid) killer. That wouldn’t be bound to the usual limitations, certain animations from killers wouldn’t even be used for the pet, eg grabbing, hitting/lunging/carrying and booking
