Something I Always Wondered...
Why can't you attempt to escape the hook when you are the last survivor and everyone else has left?
For example, You haven't been hooked all match and everyone else escaped. The killer downed and hooked you, but you can't attempt to escape the hook and immediately die.
It's just something that doesn't make sense to me.

You really should be able to, they probably did it though because to be Dicks some survivors won't try to jump off the hook and would prefer to waste the killers time instead.

It's even worse when you have Deliverance & been saving it all game just for it to be completely wasted at the endgame.

I once saw a dev say something along the lines of
"Because it's not like the killer is going to leave you alone at that point so the game is pretty much over"
Which is true but it doesn't hold up now that we have Deliverance DS

It got removed because it wasted everyone's time and can unfairly deny the killer of a deserved 4k.
That along with just encouraging killers to literally face camp the last hooked survivor because they have no real reason to leave the hook if its possible for the last survivor to self unhook.

Because most people would just hang there out of pure spite, and also because the only way you're getting out is with perfectly balanced and totally fair perks that absolutely didn't hand you an escape in any way.

You used to be able to jump. I don't see how attempting your three jumps is denying kills.. otherwise they should remove the 4% chance all together.
On the other foot If it's your first hook then.. then it's robbing survivors of their deserved chances to jump and struggle points.
Before it was removed killers used that time to hunt down hatch anyway.

So what if you do manage to yeet. The killer isn't exactly going to let you go.

Killer's mainly camped the hook at that time because the hatch couldn't be closed...
People really seem to forget how long the hatch standoff system(killers couldn't close the hatch but could grab people out of it) lasted for.
It was only after last survivor is always death hook was implemented along with the hatch being closable that killers would look for the hatch after the final hook.
