Tips on countering gen rushing pls

I've been playing since release and am rank one killer and survivor, and have never posted before because I've always felt the game was balanced, but lately I've been timing my matches and 8 of my last 10 have had all 5 generators finish in under 5 min with the record being 3min 58 seconds and I just don't feel confident in my killer abilities anymore. Any tips on how to do better?

    If pressuring people off of gens in general doesn't seem to work, you could:

    • Try a different build that is more "gen defense". I would personally try and make the most out of Ruin + Undying before it gets nerfed.
    • Try a different killer, such as Oni for snowballing & pressuring off of gens with Blood Fury, or Hag to set traps down near them.

    If these 2 options don't seem to be working out well, the best thing you can do is make a 3-gen for yourself and call it a day. Just make sure you don't commit to chases too far away from it.

    Without seeing your playstyle it's quite hard to be able to give many tips. I'm a big fan of Corrupt Intervention for trying to slow things down in the early part of the game, this has definitely helped me when I've been feeling a bit pressurised in matches.

    But also, some games you're going to outright lose - that happens to everyone (on both sides). Even in Red Ranks there's a fairly mixed skill of players - not everyone is the same skill level, I think most people will agree with that. And that goes for killers as well as survivors - which is why sometimes you will play against survivors that can waste enough of your time in chases so that the gens get completed.

    There's definitely perks that can help you - Pop if you can hook people, Ruin if you're able to pressurise the gens at all for example. Both of those have things you have to complete as a killer first though, which is why I like Corrupt Intervention so much as I can rely on it instantly, it buys me that time at the start of the match and usually allows me to at least get into a proper chase before a generator has been completed.

    Ideally, you want to hit and interrupt multiple Survivors before committing to your first down. It prevents 3 gens from popping on your first hook
