Chapter Concept: The Lost Boys

Hello there, I’m new to the DBD forums but I’ve always been a fan of Dead by Daylight’s lore and how they integrate characters from franchises into the game. I love seeing other characters from various licenses show up in the same game as a crossover scenario, but I’d love to hear feedback on this Chapter idea I’ve had regarding the classic 1987 vampire horror comedy film “The Lost Boys” and how I think this could play out in DBD so here goes nothing.

New Map: Santa Carla Boardwalk

New Survivor: Edgar Frog

New Killer: The Vampire (David, Marko, Paul, Dwayne, and Max)

Edgar Frog’s Perks:

Freedom Fighter - You have an opportunity at hand, but when in danger you are able to uplift others even in your most desperate times. When in the Killer’s terror radius within 32 meters, you are granted 12% additional speed on repairing generators, healing, and searching chests. When forced into a chase, other Survivors in 32 meter range are granted 9% additional speed as well for all objective actions.

“We’re fighters for truth, justice, and the American way.” - Edgar Frog

Monster Basher - You’ve been in numerous battles with creatures of the night throughout your life, becoming accustomed in knowing of how to dispatch them. This perk gives you the ability to instantly stun a Killer without using a pallet after being chased for a duration of 30 seconds, after using this the perk goes into a lengthy cool down of 80 seconds before becoming active in a chase once more.

“No two blood suckers go out the same way. Some yell and scream, others go quietly. Some explode, some implode.” - Edgar Frog

Printed Acquittances - You make friends with people you can trust that’ll stay loyal to you and stay by your side through the darkness. When in a chase, your aura is shown to your teammates and the perk gives them additional movement speed for 25 seconds, but goes into a cool down after the perk’s use for 40 seconds. “

We’re awesome monster bashers: the meanest, the baddest. Yeah!!” - Edgar and Alan Frog, and Sam Emerson

The Vampire’s perks:

Brooding Brotherhood - Your presence causes tensions to arise within the surrounding area. When within 32 meters of Survivors, they suffer from the Blindness status effect for 20 seconds while doing objective actions such as healing and repairing.

“It’s time to join the club.” - David

Lost in the Shadows - You have enhanced senses that let you have an advantage over your prey. Grants additional movement speed when a generator is completed and this perk makes you undetectable for 20 seconds after a generator’s completion.

“You don’t have to beat me, Michael. You just gotta try and keep up.” - David

Bloodthirsty Initiation - Blood flows on the ground wherever you go and lives are lost in the pursuit of new recruits for the family. Survivors who are injured will be inflicted with the perk’s ability, which causes Survivors who heal an injured Survivor to in turn take the Survivor’s wounds. This perk can only be triggered every 40 seconds each time a Survivor gets healed.

“Now you know what we are, now you know what you are. You’ll never grow old, Michael. And you’ll never die, but you must feed.” - David

The Vampire’s power:

Call of the Lost Boys - You are able to bite a dying Survivor which makes them weaker, slower, causes them to bleed out even while standing, and craving the taste of blood, forcing you to leave them on the ground thus causing them to find a source of blood from fellow Survivors that’ll cause them to be bitten or else risking bleeding out entirely. They can pick themselves back up instantly after being bitten when in the dying state, the Survivors suffer a regression penalty on generators when bitten as well as suffering from hallucinations such as worms or maggots appearing on the screen that may disorientate Survivors. The only way to cure The Vampire’s Curse is to bite a fellow Survivor or being downed once more.

The Vampire is also able to fly off the ground to another section of the map and hang on walls for a certain amount of time in order to get the upper hand on his prey.

Map:

The Boardwalk, Santa Carla

The Boardwalk has been the site for many fun adventures for young people. There’s games, amusement park rides, restaurants, and sources of entertainment that any youth would love, but it’s referred to as ‘The Murder Capital of The World’ by some due to how many deaths and missing persons have been reported. Maybe this has something to do with what lies under the Boardwalk that many people do not know about? Back in the 1920’s, there stood a grand hotel on the edge of Santa Carla that housed many occupants from famous athletes to celebrities of great fame but one fateful day an earthquake emanating from San Francisco caused the grand hotel to sink into the ground, killing many people, and completely destroying the hotel. Now the ruins of the hotel are inhabited by a gang of bloodthirsty vampires who refer to themselves as The Lost Boys. Santa Carla beware! The offering would be called the Batman #14 Comic Book with the caption reading “A book from childhood memories that have been lost due to creatures of the night.”

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to showcase and describe my ideas I had and I would love to hear everyone’s opinions on this licensed concept! Hope you like it!!
