I took the bait and tunneled.

I reached rank 15, which means the teams now regularly include green and purple ranks and occasionally red even though I have crossplay on (I play on PS5). This happened to me last year when I was about a month into the game and rank 16, and I ended up quitting until recently because playing against people clearly better than me all day wasn't fun, and survivor queues took forever and a day to find a match on PS4 with no crossplay.

I get teabagged practically every game, and I've just realized that that's part of DBD, so whatever. I decided to play Clown for my last game yesterday, and this Nea is teabagging me every second they get. I can tell that they are much better at the game than me, but of all the teabags I took that day, this one kind of triggered me. I preceded to tunnel this Nea. Takes some time, but I down and hook her. I then patrol only the closest generators because I'm not letting her go.

She gets saved with borrowed time, and I bottle her down with Clown, and down her again. I wait for potential DS, hook her, and she's gone. I go on to play normally, and get 3 kills that game and someone gets hatch. Guy I tunneled turns out to be rank 7 and promptly messages me in frustration. The messages, themselves, were hilarious, but I still felt bad for tunneling the person. Teabagging is just crouching multiple times quickly, and doesn't usually trigger me in other games like MK11, or Cod, but in this game it sometimes does. It never makes me angry, but can annoy me like a fly that won't go away. Well, that concludes my story. I did go from rank 20 to rank 15 in two days which is the highest I've ever been, so I'm sort of happy about that.

I get what you're saying. I've made the mistake of chasing teabaggers before, and paid for it with tons of gens popping. This is why I try to ignore it, and usually succeed at it. I fell for it this time, and luckily caught the person. I lost gens in the process, but I didn't even care at that point. It's just something I'll have to work harder at ignoring.

One idea I've had which I didn't extensively test yet, if you're against someone who is particularly obnoxious and obviously trying to get your attention, it can be quite funny to just literally ignore them (unless they are in range of a free hit, always take a free hit).

Sometimes they will just start trying harder to get your attention, at the expense of them actually doing gens or anything to progress the game.

Unless they are actually good players, if they don't immediately start doing gens or other productive things, you can assume they might be a decent player so maybe tunnellng them in that area was not particularly a good idea anyway.

I definitely remember particularly toxic matches and squads around green and yellow ranks, perhaps they were depippers or something bullying new killers. Unfortunately when you get to play mostly red rank players, survivors tend to play reasonably for the most part (genuinely haven't seen a mid match teabag for a few games now)

I'd recommend not tunneling until you get a better feel for the game. Once you get enough hours you'll be able to tell within the first 10 seconds of chase how each survivor plays, than you can start making decisions if they are worth tunneling or not. With current mm you'll most likely have rainbow ranks in your lobby as killer and going after a survivor who bms you and might be an actual good red rank gamer will only cause frustration for you.

That's an awesome idea about ignoring them lol. Just pretend they're not even in the match. I'm going to try that for sure.

The teabaggers and the clickers want to be chased and are desperate for attention. I like to ignore because it annoys them and they usually end up following me while I'm chasing someone else which is great honestly because then I have two people off gens instead of one. If you chase them you risk throwing the match, but if you ignore them and they chase you then they risk throwing the match.

If they tbag me I go out of my way to ruin their entire game. I don't see tbagging as toxic, more so as some idiot who probably can't loop me for more then one gen. If they get downed I slug them. They get back up I slug everyone and let them bleed out. You got my attention and you sucked therefore you pay the price and so does anyone who helped you.

Teabaggers have no right to complain about anything. They are trying to rile you up with their actions, but then get pissy when they succeed and you thrash them.
