List of things that make zero sense in DBD

Title, this list works on real life logic, I know most of these can be explained away by "Eldritch Spider god shenanigans", I will start with some general things and work my way down from each killer and survivor.

  1. How are survivors able to run infinitely? long distance runners have to keep a steady pace constantly in order to run for a hour at most, however, 1. Survivors are not running long distance marathons, they are sprinting away from a killer, and 2. there are only a small number of survivors who could keep that kind of pace up for a bit, those being Jake, Meg, David, Laurie, Ash, Jeff, Tapp and maybe Steve, Felix and Elodie, that's only 7, maybe 10 out of 23 survivors that could realistically run that fast for that long, and even then they'd have to take a breather eventually
  2. How are survivors able to take hits from various sharp and blunt weapons and then be completely fine 20 seconds and several massages later? The weapons Killers have range from basic knives and hammers to machetes, saws, a HUMAN SKULL, axes, sharp claws, pointy sticks, katanas, giant knives, a GUN, canes and sickles, not only can all of the survivors take a hit from all of them and keep running but there are also NO visible injuries, not to mention the healing, unless this is the power of friendship or some other BS then there is zero way that survivors would be able to heal off those kind of wounds with only their hands.
  3. Meathooks, this falls back into number 2. That is a sharp metal hook going through your shoulder, that would rip several tendons and pretty much render that arm completely unusable until you can get it checked at by a doctor
  4. How are survivors able to withstand Chainsaws? Leatherface and Hillbilly have chainsaws, in case you somehow don't know those things are designed to cut down giant trees, if you were to get hit by one of those in the manner that Billy and Bubba hit survivors with, then Hillbilly would cut you in half diagonally and Bubba would cut you in half horizontally, you would not survive a chainsaw to the body AT ALL and yet the survs in game are completely fine
  5. Pallets would eventually give the killer, regardless of size or dexterity, a concussion or give them a coma, and yet they can take as many as they want and be entirely fine
  6. Trapper's Beartraps, let me repeat, BEAR TRAPS. I am no expert on them but if you were to get your leg in one the teeth would puncture your skin and muscles and leave that leg completely useless, and once again SURVS ARE COMPLETELY FINE
  7. How can Dead Hard send you over bear traps without getting trapped in them? you're still stepping on it, you should be trapped by it
  8. Wraith's invisibility, I'm not sure many of you know this but in order to get the sort of invisibility that Wraith has, you would have to get some way of making all light in a 360 degree view of you bounce off you, including your eyes, I.E YOU WOULD BE BLIND AND COMPLETELY UNABLE TO SEE ANYTHING
  9. More to the point, Wraith's bell addons, how the hell do they change the way the bell rings? Wraith hits it with his weapon, not the addons, and sticking them inside the bell would stop it from ringing in the first place
  10. Why does Billy's chainsaw overheat go down over time every time? Chainsaw engines are delicate and getting so much a chip of wood in them can cause serious problems
  11. Why does Hillbilly's chainsaw start up perfectly every time? he never pulls a cord and even if he did then he'd have to do it several times to get it working
  12. How in the holy mother of hell does revving a chainsaw make Hillbilly move faster? with a limp too by the way, if he can't run that fast normally there is no way he'd run that fast while carrying a massive slab of metal with a fast spinning blade attached to the end
  13. How does nurse even see? she is wearing some sort of sack on her head with no visible holes, it would explain why the majority of people who play her are blind but it doesn't explain why she has a normal cone of vision

feel free to add more because if i was to list every single thing that makes no sense in this game i'd be here forever

How do survivors with little physical strength body block a giant extremely strong Samurai Warrior.

How does everyone know how to repair a generator? Bill maybe, same as Jake or Felix. Bet why would someone like David be able too?

Responding to point 1, technically the survivors are not constantly sprinting, it's more of a jog (you can tell this as there is literally a perk which allows you to sprint, but it lasts 3 seconds). Also I find it interesting you think it's more natural that Bill could be able to sprint indefinitely, considering his age and the fact he is always smoking, yet you didn't list Meg in that category, who is literally a competitive runner.

Why do all survivors run at the exact same speed? You would think Meg would be able to outrun Jane or chainsmoking bill?

Why would survivors fearing for their lives only jog to safety. I see clown in elephant mask coming at me and i would usain bolt on steroids!

You forgot to add that Pyramid head can be blinded, trapper can be, demo can be, the nurse can be, the pig can be, and the legion can be.

    Balance over Realism.

Imagine how bad DBD would be, if you would have to walk most of the time, because the Survivor is exhausted. Or Survivors basically that heavily injured after getting hit, stepping into a Beartrap, getting hooked that it is not logical that they can go on.

Or if Killers can actually get hurt by Pallets with smaller Killers like Legion or Hag taking less Pallets than strongly build Killers like Trapper or Oni (with that logic, Myers would need to be immune to that, given how much he can take in his movies). Or if Hillbilly can actually break his Chainsaw once it is overheated.

Yes, all those things are not realistic at all, but for gameplay-reasons, it is fine as they are solved now.

I think many players would love some realism in DBD. Single hit from any weapon instantly kills survivors and Spirit dies the moment game begins.

    Both sides win !
