DBD Needs A Health Chapter
This has already been suggested before, but I really feel that this change can help the game for the better.
DBD releases four chapters every year. This is way too much, especially in the future when there is a hoard of survivors and killers to choose from, and perks will only become more complicated unless a new game mechanic is introduced.
I think that DBD should release one health chapter every year, along with 3 other chapters, each being either original or licensed. I think this would greatly reduce the amount of bugs/issues within the game and can help developers focus on balancing and securing a finished product for release. This would also give them more time to focus on issues the community speaks upon, rather than trying to rush a chapter for release. Maybe this can also help the development team produce more engaging and more fun events, which as we have all noticed, has lacked in the past..
A health chapter is vital to the game's success.
Would DBD become boring without new chapters?
I think that DBD should implement more small events within the game. While these two are nowhere similar, Overwatch has small events that you complete by simply winning games in exchange for a skin. I think this would be a great addition for the game, and would allow casual players to earn skins without having to spend an extreme amount of money. This would also encourage more players to play the game, which can help increase the average playerbase as well.
I also think that small game modes could be introduced as there will be less pressure to release more DLC. This would be revolutionary for DBD, offering something new to the table that can take away from the sweatier experience for those in lower ranks. Maybe there will be a new objective besides generators or sacrifices, or maybe killers and survivors have to work together for a challenge. Who knows? This addition would certainly be nice, but of course, only one can dream.
I know my post was not very specific and awfully vague, but I think we can all agree that four chapters a year is too much. A health chapters are essential. What are your thoughts upon the subject?
Edit: One more thing I forgot to add were experimental patches/gamemode
I think this could also be game changing, as DBD has evolved from its first release. Experimenting with perks and buffing/nerfing them could be an interesting addition, and could change the entire meta for the game. Again, only a suggestion, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
2ND EDIT (PLEASE READ):
Reduced two health chapters to one health chapter (with 3 other chapters being DLC) to make my post more reasonable.

Scott Jund brought up a point that not many do. This game gets very stale without new content. Scott and many others need the new content to keep enjoying the game.
A health chapter wouldn’t work because all the bugs they fixed would probably just come back next chapter anyway and the lack of content would drive players away.
Not to mention BHVR wouldn’t get any money from it
As for new game modes they would become stale as they would never be balanced in any way. Bhvr should spend their time balancing the game and adding content while fixing bugs imo

The game certainly would get boring without new content, but I still think 4 chapters is too much. Maybe a health chapter every year with the other 3 being new DLC? The twins release was very messy and disappointing, which is why I think they should have more time allocating to fixing these issues. I agree with your point though.

They could do both things at the same time. This is not a small indy company. They have enough manpower to do a health chapter while still releasing new content.

its better to focus everything on the health stuff

Why?

I would be happy if they just did 1 health Patch per Year. Or they just take more time before releasing Stuff.
Also i think a New Gamemode would help them have Players Entertained for some Time giving them the Opportunity to not release a Chapter and instead do a Health Patch

And have a content drought that would kill the game?

I am pretty sure that dbd can handle a period of staleness. If I were them, I would come out with a small chapter with some sort of small content and then afterwards release a heavily worked on health patch full of balance changes and bug fixes.

Very true

Why do you think the bugs would come back next chapter? The only reason bugs occur at the moment is because the team is rushing out new content such as new Killers/Survivors/perks. If they had time dedicated to fixing and debugging the content that is already there, they would be less likely to add or exacerbate bugs in future releases.

Why do sound bugs keep coming back then. The silent hill chapter wasn’t rushed but still had bugs. This game will never be bug free or even non buggy.

No software is ever bug free.
My point is, the reason this game is so full of bugs, is because time is spent adding new content, which means adding new code to the codebase, usually in a rushed fashion, rather than spending time refactoring the code that is already there, and improving the existing content.
Hence, a chapter dedicated to quality of life fixes would give the devs time to clean up the game and make progress on some of the bugs.

Edited my post to say one health chapter every year, rather than two. Would that be more reasonable, along with the other 3 chapters being original/licensed DLC?

The problem with new game modes is that people are already unhappy with the current queue times. If you had another game mode, you split the player base even further and increase wait times.

A new mode might bring a lot of retired gamers back though, especially if it's fun and breathes new life into DBD.
