Do you agree with these trapper buffs?
- It now takes 8-12 seconds to escape the bear trap when caught in it by yourself
- It now takes 4 seconds to rescue a survivor caught in a bear trap
- The Trapper now can hold 2 traps at base
- Injured survivors who escape a trap by themselves should be downed (Idea by Otzdarva)
- Survivors can no longer use I-frames such as dead hard or the 2 second immunity from wiggling out to walk through a bear trap unscathed
3 of these changes I have heard many times in the past or slight variations of them and I thought they were pretty good.
The 8-12 seconds guaranteed being stuck in a trap will actually allow the Trapper to get the person stuck in a trap far away unless the killer is on the further parts of the map. Getting rid of the RNG to the trap escape will also allow you to rely on your traps (your only ability) more often and help. Let me know just how long this should be.
The fact that a survivor can escape or be rescued faster than you can even place a trap is ridiculous. Just this simple little buff will be a small quality of life change for the Trapper.
As Otzdarva explained in his video "My suggested changes/buffs to ALL the killers", having a survivor not be able to escape a bear trap without being downed would make survivors more inclined to heal and give the Trapper the ability to pressure survivors much more effectively.
We all know that the Trapper sucks without a trapper bag, even the brown one. They are all so very helpful, everyone has also been asking for this for a long time now. The brown version would also still be somewhat useful as it would allow you to start a trial with an extra trap and also allow you to hold 3 traps which is great.
