Object nerf and DS nerf? Devs are actually godly
That's the post, thank you :)
DS still has some issues, but other than that it's great :)
EDIT: I know it's subject to change, but I believe in them.
*Object change is not final, they are testing something but given the such positive reaction I reckon they'd keep it.

DS change is great. Its the change we've been lobbying for for years now. I'm happy with it. Hopefully it makes it in in this form or a similar.

wait what'd they change

Well I hope people will be happy now. (I really mean it.)
Now that I think about it. There is still a big problem with DS.
1 -
It's actually anti-tunnel now and not anti-momentum/free pressure for survivors. Disables on any action.
20 -
apparentyl when Ds is active you can't make interaction to anything or else it becomes deactivated
9 -
"Finally, inner peace."
10 -
So killers let's hear the "Devs are so survivor-sided they don't care about us killers" talk. Come on. My morning cup of coffee doesn't taste bitter enough without it.
27 -
I really need to go watch the stream. I miss it once and it must be one with really good news.
0 -
I agree. I don't wanna hear it either.

:)

I gave up caffeine this week. The withdrawal symptoms are miserable and I now want to complain about devs being survivor sided so you can share in my misery.
1 -
I am so happy about this. The question is can everyone admit, finally, that the the Devs are not biased and trying hard to balance this game?
I think without a doubt this will be the most balanced the game has ever been.
16 -
I feel like the perk is kind of dumb now, most survivors can run the killer for longer than 1 min so I dont see why It has a timer now that It deactivates whenever performing an action...
6 -
most survivors statistically I can guarantee can not run the killer for more than 60 seconds. I am so confidant in that.
10 -
Then why use it anyway if everyone can outrun the timer? Now it's a true anti-tunnel perk, not an invincibility perk for 1 minute.
10 -
New DS will not become an anti-tuneling perk, It will become a "get slugged for a good 60 seconds perk"
If they REALLY want to make It anti-tuneling they should remove the timer and keep the interactions that deactivate it.
1 -
I don't expect this perk to be used anymore tbh lol
2 -
So, it will be in the same state as now, but you won't be able to abuse the invincibility anymore. You are still getting slugged for 60 sec if the killer think you have DS.
1 -
"Oh it's beautiful"
2 -
It's great to see the devs have listened to the community on this :)
1 -
This.
DS was definitely abusable and problematic, but the killer mains that have been shitting on the devs now changing their tunes and saying how much they love them? Hilarious.

Which is a problem they didnt fix, they just nerfed the perk, just like they did with Undying, just like they did with The Legion when he got nerfed.
That's the problem of the devs, they dont think about balance, they think "oh Killers complain about this, lets nerf It. Oh survivors complain about this, lets nerf It too"
If they actually listened to the community they'd see we want balance, not just nerfs or buffs and keep the perks broken in one way or another.

So long as SWF is the way it is, I'll always believe in the survivor sidedness. Though the DS change is nice.

Finally... now they can move on to nerfing the Tunneling and Camping mechanic.
Because it isn’t fair that those two mechanics don’t change, meanwhile a perk needs to be brought to completely counter them.
7 -
Why do you need to pour oil in the fire when it currently calmed down? Why are you doing this?
3 -
Tunneling and Camping aren't mechanics built into the game. They are just tactics players choose to use.
You can't really get rid of them without doing something as stupid as preventing the killer from downing the last survivor unhooked.
7 -
An immediate tunnel is more likely the case to keep the 60 seconds. Aggressive unorthodox DS usage is extremely common, and it now dies with this future change.
1 -
Of course the person with the Deathslinger profile pic is happy about the ds change
4 -
Remove that timer and we're in business. Or keep the timer and make it only when you touch a generator. People do need to heal after all!
2 -
They finally adjusted some of the most abusable perks on the survivor side after years. Color me impressed.
10 -
Spare me. I’m obviously not referring to people who tried to bring up constructive criticisms.
But plenty of killer mains who have spent all this time calling the devs “useless” “incompetent”, “stupid”, etc. are now suddenly professing their love for them and how great they are.
The hypocrisy is ridiculous, and hopefully next time something they don’t like happens, they remember this, and remember that the devs DO care about their side.
3 -
And your idea was to make an infinite timer if the survivor doesn't touch a gen, totem, other survivors (heal, unhooks). This won't solve anything, instead of you getting slugged for 60 sec, you will get slug for 4 minutes if the killer doesn't want to eat the DS and you will be useless for the rest of the game.
4 -
People will always complain. Its not nice but sinking to their level and calling them toddlers, will not improve that. It probably makes this survivor/killer thing worse.
11 -
Then again, balance it and make It so that you can fully recover from dying state, there you have your anti tunneling perk.
If he wants to pick you up the killer either has to hook someone else ir eat the DS.
Either way Im not gonna start proposing changes on how to balance the perk because that's their job and they get paid for It, not me.
My point is that the change is just bad and It doesnt really solve any problems regarding survivor side. It's just a nerf for the sake if nerfing It, they didnt think about how to balance it. But hey, we got a new "event" coming soon, at least they thought on how to make us pay more money for the game...
2 -
“Most” lol. What?! 🤣🤣🤣
2 -
Yeah, someone drastically overestimates the average survivor lmao
2 -
Sounds like you got it rough mine is normally head aches and sleepy

Woah, been off DBD forums for most of the day & come back to see that they're doing changes to the 2 perks that needed it the most.
Changes seem pretty good. I do think DS should be able to be used twice though given the circumstances of it being able to be deactivated, just to make it more fair for survivors.
OoO change is okay, not what I would've changed it to but hey, I'm not complaining.
We finally got the changes lads, time to celebrate!

So is every else without them geinsus

Define "healing"?
Healing yourself? Healing someone else? Only when fully healed?
0 -
I so t think they are godly I am very happy that its happening but only 3 years
0 -
If you remove the timer doesnt it then become a get slugged until you bleed out perk
1 -
now again the killer mains who do nothing but tunnel and camp and the EVERY ROUND will be rewarded for nothing! And the devs also say it for good! You don't get ######### hitbox fixed, but nerf perks like the world champions, to be honest, the game is losing more and more fun! I am definitely against the nerf at object and ds rather turn your head when nobody will play anymore because of that

We’re almost certain they’re referring to engaging in a healing action. Being healed by someone else sounds like it doesn’t disable DS.
6 -
I reinstall the game they finally do something about it against swf, better late than never

Thanks!

I mean after ruin, thana, pop, undying, mori nerfs it does feel kind of good to see that they are doing something about it
1 -
Good job devs.

Better news than a new chapter XD

Technically a mechanic is a rule/procedure that guides how the game will play.
Allowing a killer to flat out camp just because they can get a kill that way then becomes a mechanic.
Nobody is asking to get rid of them but to either tone down their abusiveness and/or give them a downside via gameplay.
It’s funny how DS can be abused but some people don’t think camping can.
