This DS change makes me wonder if the Devs actually DO read the Steam boards...
Because I've been suggesting almost this exact change for idk how long. Maybe I was wrong about the balance team not knowing how to balance things and they just need to learn to not discuss balance topics while playing games on stream lol.
In all seriousness though, how if a survivor wants to keep their DS they have to actively avoid progressing the game for 60 seconds, which was the main issue with old DS, how much survivors could accomplish with little to no real risk.
Honestly the only thing I can see people legitimately complaining abotu now is that it doesn't help with tunnelling (which, honestly it does, but if the killer spots you or your scratch marks after the stun and REALLY wants you to go down.... he's gonna down you....). If DS starts horribly underperforming, simply delaying the appearance of the scratch marks until after the stun ends should give it that little boost if it really really needs it.

This is a change that's been suggested by every single forum out there, and it's also been constantly suggested by really popular, knowledgeable and skilled streamers. It's been suggested ever since it was "nerfed" quite a while back.

I can't wait to see how many people still run this perk after the changes

You do know those thing were talked about here. Like every other day.

I mean everyone?
It's still an anti tunnel perk. You just can't use your shield as a weapon anymore.
It will still stop you from being rehooked 5 seconds after being unhooked

I've been playing more survivor recently, and in all honesty, I can say I've not been tunneled in maybe my last 30 games.
In my experience as Killer, people who run this will play in a certain "in your face" kind of way, at this point I can usually tell who is running DS just from the way they act in game.
I suspect we'll see this perk a lot less. I'm rank 3 at the moment as Survivor, maybe it is the lower rank killers that tunnel more, as I definitely saw more tunneling when I started this game a few months ago.

They do. The devs have showed many times that they do listen to feedback, people just like to forget this.
