I better use OOO as much as I can while I can
With the upcoming nerf I think I will start using OOO more and enjoy it in its current form while it's still around. I'm gonna miss a the things I used to do with this perk, so even though I haven't really been using it much lately I'm gonna dust it off and give it a nice loving run around the block before it gets retired to pasture.
It'll be the send-off to a well-loved friend who served me through the years.
I press F for you OOO.

Have fun on the hook

Hahaha good one you're one of those newbs who has no idea what you can do with OOO, aren't you?
Just finished a game with OOO. Yeah killer was low rank (crappy matchmaking) but if you know what you're doing and can outplay the killer it's possible to use OOO and ghost the killer the entire match. As long as the killer isn't sufficiently better OOO is a huge help to any solo Q survivor and can help you survive all the way to the end.
Funny thing apparently someone else had the same idea as me he also went in with OOO.

Looked like a fun game for that Bubba.

Well it was on Haddonfield too, which made it extra hard for Bubba. And two Bunny Fengs stealthing him with OOO. Kinda feel bad for him but that's DBD Matchmaking for you. In a more matched game I have a far, far higher chance of dying badly if I slip up with the OOO use. But in this particular match basically just ghosted Bubba the entire match while fishing the chests.

So you acknowledge that the perk is broken in its current state, and choose to abuse it anyways? Nice mentality huh. I hope you don't complain when killers either facecamp you or tunnel you out of the game 🧐

The way I use it isn't broken. I don't use it the way everyone complains about.

It's all fun and games until you come across an Oni main who knows what they're doing.

Yeah... like... we are still waiting on you to explain your mystery methodology. Be our Yoda; reveal the secret of OoO for the Solo Survivor.

- Its just an idea they are having.
- Run what you want.

I'm debating coming back to the game just to see how many OOO heathens I can cleanse, my steam comments are thirsty for more salty survs, either that or I avoid it like the black death until changed.

As a killer, I've found that I can basically just ignore OOO
One of two things happens...
- They play as normal because there's really not much else they can do. I do my best to not look in their direction in case they have some SWF connection so they can't even snitch on my position. You can never completely eliminate it just because you'll accidentally look in their direction at times chasing/looking for others but either way, you can minimize it greatly if you know what you're doing
- They do everything they can to keep getting my attention (T-Bag, clickity clicks, window jumping, lockers, etc). This takes one person away from doing useful things, allowing me to whittle down the rest of their team as they are basically playing down a person since the OOO person is so desperate for attention that they won't settle for just doing their normal survivor job
If they do option 1, it's no different than a normal game. If they do option 2, I'm FAR happier. Anecdotally, I've found it's about a 50/50 coin flip to see which reaction from the OOO I get.

The problem with ooo happens to be in a SWF setting & midwich. People with comms; the object player gives location of the killer to his teammates. It’s Giving them a one up in the match.
I played against an ooo(maybe swf) on midwich. I couldn’t Catch him the whole match.
solo que is fine.

Well I'm not saying I'm invincible. I lose a lot even with this build. I have said many times I'm not very good at this game, my escape rate is close to like 20%. But I tend to lose a lot less than when I use OOO, my escape rate goes up to like 33%. It's a strong perk in stealth builds. One of the strongest actually. Just finished another match. In last 3 matches since I switched back to OOO I escaped twice but that's more due to the wonky matchmaking. The other match was an AFK Myers. But strong killers who know what they're doing will still more often than not kill me. But OOO tends to save my bacon because it keeps me away from the killers so I can focus on doing gens. OOO is amazing for gen jockeys and you can use the gen to hide while keeping tabs on the killer.
It wasn't meant to disparage anyone. But the first guy to comment was talking trash. If I get a better matchup I'd post it but the matchmaking is so wonky. I mean the match I just finished also had wonky matchmaking look. My point is just because I'm using OOO doesn't mean I'm going to end up on hook like the 2nd guy was saying.
Like I've said. The issue is in SWF. In Solo Q and the way I use it (as a detector perk ala Spine Chill) it's not broken.

Why don't you read the reply in the other topic. What is your problem anyway? Did I kill your cat or something?

I'll go look, but I didn't get a notification that you had answered me in the other thread. As far as I know, you hadn't answered my question.

Omg you beat a rank 13 and rank 10 killer while using OoO? You’re good!
2 -
Wow, you bully green rank killers with OoO, big man you are

Considering how the thread has been with the responses, it's for the best to close it. You are free to run any perks you want, OP, but also please keep in mind this is a proposed change and not a final one.
To everyone, please always remain respectful and civil when discussing. There is no need to mock each other, thank you!
