Is BBQ and Chili OP, Balanced, or Trash?

OP
I think slightly OP but not so much that it necessarily needs a nerf. Im just not a fan of perks that almost always should be equipped. Id rather other perks get buffed up so it gets a little less use. So I'm somewhere between op and balanced

Balanced
It's a little underpowered if anything. Not trash, but not good either. If it didnt give bonus bloodpoints it's usage rate would be way, way, way less than it currently is.

Balanced
Definitely balanced, gives the killer bloodpoints & gives the survivor a chance to hop into a locker real quick to counter the aura reads. Simple as that.

Keep in mind that one of the most commonly cited reason as for why people constantly keep it on, is not only because of the decent effect the perk provides, but the bloodpoint bonus that it offers. The reason people want the bloodpoint bonus so bad is because the grind itself is so bad. The sheer amount of teachables and survivors / killers there are in Dead By Daylight which is always going to be increasing with every chapter release. The grind is only getting worse for new players who are going to find a wall of content to grind and unlock through, as well as veterans who need to go back to every single Survivor & Killer that they've ever P3'd and unlock the teachables for those characters, before really even sinking their teeth into the new ones that were just released.
I guarantee you that if the grind wasn't as bad as it was, you'd see a lot less people running perks like BBQ & Chili.

OP
Yeah I agree with that as well. I imagine BBQ would not be used if there was a lot less to unlock. I especially hope they get rid of tiers for perks. No mither is a perks that honestly deserves blood point bonus lol

I run it on all killers and lets be honest: on most killers it's only good cause of the passive BP bonus. On all m1 killers, the aura reading part is pretty much useless. Only high mobility killer who are strong already anyways cause of that matter of fact can get a use out of the aura reading part of the perk.

Balanced
Balanced, it's easy enough to hide from it, but also good info for killers. To counter it, you just need to hide behind a gen that's not completed, be far away so the killer takes too long to get there giving you time to walk away, lockers, or being close

For those that think it is OP; Keep in mind that what makes this perk most commonly used; is not because of aura reading effects but the Bloodpoints Bonus is grants! The thing I hate with other perks that grant Bloodpoint Gain; is that they do not offer any Bonus Bloodpoints that Barbecue and Chilli has! Gaining extra Bloodpoints just to fill the bar, is laughable as it not really worth the effort that is fill up the Categories!
If only they all grant Bonus Blood points; Barbecue and Chilli has one other nice effect in which it gives killer useful information to go find other Survivors in a distance, especially if they are on a gen across the map! Not too mention, they can hide from it effects by either hiding in a locker, used distortion perk, or be close to the hook! So it not that strong!
Until they fix the grind or at least buff the other Bloodpoints Gain perks like Hex: Lullaby, Beast of Prey, etc. This perk is very good, not Meta

OP
I think it's mandatory because this game is so grindy.
I'd rather have the bonus bloodpoints system be part of the main game and the free choice of my 4th perk.
I think the aura reveal is dumb and the counterplay is dumb, that's why I run Distortion, so I don't have to put up with it.

Without the bp, I’d run thrilling over it immediately.

Balanced
It received so many counters that any nerf request or claim of it being OP is just unreasonable.
It's a perk that also benefits survivors, as it incentivises killers to leave the hooked survivor instead of camping them.

Balanced
It's pretty powerful, both from an in-game and out-of-game standpoint. The auras are nice for giving you a general idea of where survivors are, in order to help you keep up momentum instead of wandering around without direction. It's also a pretty well-designed perk; it gives you information of faraway survivors to discourage camping, encourages you to rotate survivors to discourage tunneling, and encourages you to hook to discourage slugging. The real kicker, however, is bloodpoints. That's the real reason people bring this perk, and because of it, you can bet that it's going to be ubiquitous in red ranks. Thankfully, that means that there's one less spot for NOED, and it's pretty say to counter; lockers are literally everywhere.

Aura reading is annoying, but it's not overpowered enough to be a detriment.
If it were up to me I'd remove the aura reading but increase the max percentage of bloodpoints to 100/200/300 respectively.
Make it purely a grind perk, but a really, really good one.

Trash
I consider it trash.
Yes, I said what I said.
Take away the blood point gain for a second and look at the aura reading.
Too many counters. I cannot tell you how often I get a hook and I see NO ONE. Because:
• It is blocked by generators
• It is blocked by lockers
• It doesn't work on Survivors near you
• It's worthless against Survivors so far away on the map that trying to chase them down means they will be long gone by the time you get over there
Not to mention I am probably losing a full second off this perk just turning my camera to look around.
