With DS change is the skill check required?
*disclaimer, since i started the game i have never used DS even though I own Laurie, so i don't know how easy or hard it is to hit
now that DS will reach IMO a fair state, is the skill check still required?

i mean are you having trouble hitting it?
like it's really easy to hit any skill check in this game you know it is coming even if it's small, im not sure if its like this with other players but when old ruin was a thing at that time i couldn't hit great skill checks but i always hit ruin skill checks.

I think they should remove it or make it much bigger since it’s not as powerful

actually scratch the part about removing it, they should just make it much larger. removing it wouldn't allow you to save it for second hook if you wanted to.

Have you ever faced an Overcharge skill check? its slightly easier than that. So you have that, and the fact that you know when DS is coming its not truly horrible to hit.

In my opinion it's debatable.
Originally the skill check was harder + it was affected by Unnerving Presence and Huntress Lullaby.
They made the skill check easier when DS was first reworked, and they also got rid of it being affected by perks.
I don't know if the skillcheck is necessary. It's not too hard to hit (You can still miss it sometimes) and considering it's no longer affected by perks anymore I don't know why it still needs a skill check at all.
