Is DS + Unbreakable fine now?

If the current changes go live, Decisive Strike will no longer be abusable. If a Survivor gets unhooked and immediately begins working on a generator, DS will deactivate which means you no longer get punished for stopping generator repairs.

With the new changes, the only way the DS + Unbreakable combo will affect the Killer is:

  1. The Killer tunnels
  2. The Survivor does nothing to progress the game and hurts their team

I believe the combo is now much healthier for the game and will actually work to fight against tunneling, but I wanted to know what everyone else thought about this.

It's a medium sized pp build now.

It's still gonna be just as good in a good SWF or a bunch of really good solos, but for the majority of matches it'll be much more balanced.

Yeah it is fine now. 2 perk slots to get up after being tunneled.

It'll definitely be an improvement, but you never know precisely how a change will work out until we get to try it out.

People will still complain about it but it should be fine.

i mean the build was used to just go onto gens without a way for the killer to punish you and now you can't do that.

i think we can safely say that this build is fine now.

both reasons you mentioned is actually why it will be alright after the change, the only issue i can see with this is that killer still doesnt know if survivors have these perks and thats why killers might actually still play just as they do now, but at least after the change survivors will definitely waste time if they'll want to DS the killer

The changes to DS don't really affect the combo all that much. You still get that minute of invincibility on the ground, meaning either the killer can't touch you that entire time or just eats the DS.

Question though, if you pick yourself up with Unbreakable or Soul Guard does it count as healing and deactivate DS?

I think it’ll be fine now. I might even run it to protect myself from tunneling.

the problem with it before was just immunity to do gens but now you can't do anything so i'd say it's just fine now.

They said healing with a perk doesn't count for removing decisive so since you could use inner strength and still keep it it's safe to assume you could use unbreakable or soul guard

With the change to DS, I would consider it a completely fair perk now. Comboing it with unbreakable was kinda BS before since it was a lose lose situation if a killer chased you off a gen before weather they picked you up or slugged ya... but thats not the case anymore so the combo I would say is also fair.

Take this with a grain of salt since I havent gotten to play since b4 blight was released due to computer issues that wont get fixed for probably another month...

With the change I think it will be a normal size pp since now you just want to protect yourself and not be slugged.
