QuestionForCommunity: Is deathslinger fun to play against or play as? And why?
Hello DBD community! I bring a new series called QuestionForCommunity.
I will try to post this often, approximately 2 days apart idk.
But, here is my question: is Deathslinger fun to play with/against, why or why not?

I only enjoy playing against him if he uses his power often. Being able to dodge the harpoon is just as satisfying as dodging Huntress hatchets and it makes chases fun.
However, most just chase you until they can either m1 you OR pull off a shot that can't be missed. On top of that he's a normal speed killer, but for some reason has a terror radius that feels smaller than a tier 2 Myers which is crap because he has a distance weapon. It's like going against a Huntress with a Tier 1 Myers terror radius and it's high key BS. They need to boost his terror radius
Never played with him because I hate him and refuse to do so.

This is kind of a tricky one.
Playing as Deathslinger is usually fun. However, if you're good with him, survivors often opt for omega immersion which is the least fun thing in the game. My Deathslinger games often start out really fun, and then turn into a 10-15 minute snooze fest.
Playing against Deathslinger is also complicated from a fun perspective. I don't mind the mechanics of Deathslinger. It's usually the type of player who chooses Deathslinger that causes frustration. There's a ton of overlap between Forever Freddy players and Deathslinger players. That's really all I'll say about it.

Super fun to play, but really not fun to face.
Small terror radius combined with everyone running M&A on him makes him way stealthier than a ranged killer has any right to be. That combined with him having 0 ADS time or sound makes counterplay very limited.

I personally have fun playing deathslinger but he can be frustrating when shots bounce of survivors or a survivor gets stuck on some random hit box while reeling.
He is annoying to play against because survivors can do little to nothing in a chase against him and his small terror radius makes it hard for survivors to prepare for a chase

For me, both yes. I love playing as him and enjoy a lot facing him too.

Fun to play, but not fun to play against. Same goes for Spirit.

I haven't got Deathslinger but I'm probably going to get him soon as he seems interesting to play.
Playing against him is a mixed bag. If it's a Godslinger you basically feel like a deer that's hunted down by a an apex predator. If they miss a shot or two and if the map allows you to break line of sight a couple times however the overall gameplay against him is quite intense and just... Different to all the typical M1 killers we got.

Quite fun to play for me, but mostly because I like that he is quite unique, especially because before I would have never thought of a Gun in DBD. However, I am not really good with him because I have no experience in FPS-games at all.
He is annoying to go against, really unfun. It does not really matter what you do as Survivor, at some point, he shoots and depending on the distance it can be impossible to react. If he misses you, this was not the Skill of the Survivor, this was just the Deathslinger missing his shot.
Also, I dont like his Terror Radius, way too small. With M&A (granted, I play it myself), you hear him breathing before you hear his Terror Radius, I dont really understand why they gave Huntress a huge Lullaby and Deathslinger became the stealthiest guy ever.

Deathslinger yeah it's hard to face him but if he's beatable at some loops pallets hard counter him. I have better times against him then Huntress's whale shots.

He isnt a normal speed, hes 4.4m/s (110%) same as Huntress

I don't like playing as Slinger because he's. not really fun for me. Even if I play well and don't miss as many shots I just don't feel any satisfaction.
I love playing against him though because he's not 100% Shift + W counterplay and you have to mostly rely on positioning to deal with him

With the way the new maps are being made with very low obstacles, he's terrible to face. Just really easy shots that are almost impossible to dodge. The new map they made with all the lawn chairs and almost nothing to hide behind but 3 walls is unbearable against him, Huntress and Nurse. If you can't hide behind an object, don't create it in a map against killers who needs LOS blockers to have a chance against. (Note: Had to edit because I forgot to put hide LOL)

playing against deathslinger isnt fun and i will often suicide on hook depending on how they are playing. a ranged killer shouldn't be stealthy in any way.

I love playing as slinger but I hate going against him.

Playing against deathslinger can be pretty boring because his gun is so fast that it's literally impossible to react fast enough to dodge. Same speed as a fully charged huntress hatchet. Playing as him CAN be fun and satisfying but it usually isn't because even if you play really well, gens will still be flying so even if you play nearly perfect, you still lose since he sucks outside of the 1v1 chase.

Playing as Slinger is subjective so it's hard to ask if it's fun, but playing against him is an excersize in hoping like hell the killer is a bad shot, because if they aren't then it's just absolutely awful and you can't really do anything but take off running extremely early.

I find him oppressive in chase, to the point where there isn't SO MUCH that I can do, but I still feel very satisfied after leading a good Dslinger on a long chase (for Dsling standards) and eventually allowing my team to do gens, which is a lot of what his gameplay is. Predropping some pallets and splitting gen pressure works really well against him.
The thing that I despise about him is his super low terror radius combined with Monitor. It's not busted, I don't think it needs a nerf, quite frankly I think he needs it considering how comparable he is to Huntress, and this gives him a huge edge, but man it can get obnoxious.
Overall, really not that bad as people say (and I'm not using bad Slingers as my reasoning, good Slingers can be very annoying but they're not unbeatable. You can still fight against him just like any other killer as long as your team knows what's up).
I feel he's quite underrated when it comes to the popular killer main opinion, but very overrated when it comes to the popular survivor main opinion. Playing both as and against Slinger has given me really good perspective on his overall strength, and I think he's a pretty balanced killer that just lacks chase gameplay but still has plenty of counters, just may not be in the form of looping him for 5 gens lol.

Here I'll put it like this if you are fighting a average nurse it's fun but if you are fighting a god send nurse it's not that fun anymore its pretty hopeless but they can't really change deathslinger ability I guess they could give his power the huntress effect by reducing the max range to 12m but if you are ads for idk 2s the max range could be like 22 or 24m (sorry got off track but I'm a leave it anyways)
