Off meta survivor builds.

Hey guys,

I wanted to talk about your off meta builds as a survivor.

Im a killer main, but I do fine as survivor too whenever the mood kicks in for me to wait 10 minutes for a game.

So as a killer I only see two types of survivors in 95% of my games.

  1. mismatched rank 10-20 that dont have a build yet and just play some random perks the character theyre playing has.
  2. Meta Perk variations. Most Time its the DS/unbreakable + dead hard + BT with variating other perks like spine chill, self care, iron will, deliverance and Adrenaline. Also Other exhaustion perks are seen fairly often except for balanced landing. But thats about it the most time.

So When I play survivor I dont really need this, because im past the rank 10-20 super tunneling/camping killers and after that it does not happen that often (at least not to myself)

So I dont see the need for DS unbreakable and BT. Killers move on after a hook and i jus wait 10 seconds to unhook, and in a rare scenario I get tunneled its just bad luck, next game wont be that hard.

But onto topic:

My favorite build is Lithe, Dance with me, quick and Quiet + inner strength. Sometimes I get off inner strength. I guess Iron will would be better, but i dont want to take a medkit every time.

So i can loop the killer and if I win a mindgame in a jungle gym i can go out with lithe without the killer knowing and usually killers go somewhere else if they realise that i got a 25m headstart.

Another build i like to run is

Empathy (which works like OoO imo but whatever) The one that makes 100% healing speed after unhooking someone for 90 seconds. Small game and inner strength. So im a healer/ totem cleanser. And it works really well too. even in red ranks.

So as im doing just fine, how about you guys? what are youre off meta builds? And if you want explain the strategy behind too :)

WGLF, WMI, kindred, open-handed - Just for quick heals since it is safe to assume that your team will most likely take hits and go down pretty easily. It is just fun to be very speedy with heals and extra aura info for everyone.

Quick and quiet, dance with me, iron will, lithe - To end a chase immediately if you are bad at chases, I recommend playing blendette.

Streetwise, built to last, prove thyself, resilience (with commodius toolbox with wire spool + scraps) - For maximum gen rush capability.

I like my BP farming build.

    • Prove Thyself
    • For the People
    • We're gonna live forever
    • Any Mean's necessary or Saboteur

Prove Thyself gives you a massive boost in BP when doing a gen with someone else. Doing one gen with someone else will fill up 3 quarters of your Objective category.

For the People ensures that you become the Obsession. Dying as the Obsession gives you 1000 BP and escaping as the Obsession gives you 1500 BP. It's a nice boost in the Survival category on top of your regular BP. Also using FtP gives you some BP.

We're gonna live forever. Not much to say, it doubles your points when you have 4 Tokens. So a 20k match becomes a 40k match if you have max tokens. Also increasing your Benevolent BP score.

Any Mean's necessary or Saboteur. They are very similar and serve similar purpose and you can use which one you prefer more. Any Mean's necessary gives you 500 BP for lifting up a pallet and then goes on cooldown for 60 seconds. Saboteur gives you 500 BP for saboing a hook and then also goes on cooldown for 60 seconds. Both give you those points in the Boldness category so I would only use 1 at a time cuz chases, totems etc. will most likely fill up your Boldness category.

But, you can use a good toolbox as an item to sabo hooks for free 500 BP if you don't get chased that much.

My go too at the moment is:

Deception/ Diversion/ InnerStrength/ Head On. It's not an effective build but it's funny when the killer gets confused for a second as to why I'm not in that locker.

    Before that it was:

    Unbreakable/ Tenacity/ Flip Flop/ Power Struggle.

Very situational but still fun to try and use.

Also just quickly how is empathy the same as OoO in your eyes?

My go to lately has been Lithe, Inner Strength, Stake Out, and BT.

BT has given so many saves for me and helped in end game scenarios that I can't justify taking it off and being just another farming dbag.

Lithe is probably the most reliable exhaustion perk but is very map dependent. This one is the same for me as BT, has saved me so many times during egc.

Inner Strength because I have most of the totem spawns memorized and don't want to rely on teammates or finding med kits.

Stake out is a great objective perk that is based around stealth. Get those stackies and bonus progression and BP for just hitting skill checks is so nice.

I sometimes run dark sense, poised, and detectives hunch just for fun. I finish a gen, and immediately know killer location. I can run the opposite direction for 10 seconds without leaving scratch marks as well as know where every gen, totem, and chest is located in the direction I'm headed. I enjoy finishing a gen with the killer nearby and being able to run away with no scratch marks. More often than not I can hide from a safe distance and watch the killer search the area around where I was just located. If they don't see scratch marks they underestimate how far away I could have gotten.

There's actually been a few times that combo has bought me the time needed to open a gate because the killer assumed the lack of scratch marks around the gen I had just completed meant I was hiding somewhere close. Those few extra seconds where the killer searches that area around the gen are often all that's needed to safely open a gate and walk out.

    My recent faves

deception, head on, quick and quiet, iron will - locker build and hella fun for mind gaming

The vault build is my classic fave - q&q, lithe, spine chill, resilience - you can get so much value out of this when looping

another chasing sing build I like - window of opportunity, vigil, fixated, sprint burst - this will be even better with fixated change

oh and my recent meme build(shopping) - plunders/appraisal/pharmacy/left behind/built to last or desperate measures... so much fun and crucial for my team many times

and lastly my solo q build - bond, kindred, quick and quiet, we’ll make it . I honestly do well with this build. Bond/kindred could be considered overkill but the amount of times another survivor being chased brings a killer directly to a gen I’m working on makes it vital.

Loop with friends build; Blood pact, For the people, object of obsession, dead hard

For the people to get obsession, blood pact for the haste, object of obsession to chase down the killer, and dead hard for the gamer button.

The whole point of this build is play decoy or flashlight saver even on solo.

Inner Strength, For The People, Bond, WGLF is one of my favourites.

I also like Bond/Kindred/Self Care/Botany Knowledge. Sometimes I'll swap Bond of Desperate Measures.

One of my absolute favourites is Built To Last/Botany Knowledge/Self Care/Bond with a yellow medkit.
