EGC improvement?
200 hrs into the game I'm definitely still a noob killer learning my way. As I learn, one of the worst parts of the match for me is the EGC where I'll have multiple survivors that don't leave but instead stand around and teabag or something else to BM as the clock ticks down. (I know, I know, git gud. I'm working on it!)
I propose a series of killer offerings which will DECREASE the EGC timer by 25%/50%/75% which killers can run if they feel like they REALLY don't want to deal with that nonsense. To counter, survivors can have an offering which nullifies the killer offering. Don't wanna risk a shortened EGC timer as survivor? Run an offering.
Anyways, there's my idea. Thoughts?

Oh, and I think the sacrifice should be secret so survivors can guess at what offering has been made. Survivor null counter can be secret too, so nobody knows what the timer will be until it happens.

Awful idea, burn that offering, equip NOED and Blood Warden, down someone once the last gen pops, open the gates yourself and hook, congratulations you got 4K while doing absolutely nothing.
If people dont want to leave smack them.

Maybe even better is the survivor counter can INCREASE the EGC timer by 25% up to a max of the original 100%. So one survivor can counter a 25% offering, but the bigger offerings would take more survivor offerings to counter. so 3 survivors would have to offer up their 25% increase counter to nullify a full Iridescent 75% killer offering. Does that make sense?

there never used to be an egc. if the survivors were ######### they could open the gates and stealth around the map for however long they wanted to. no timer to force them out.
you're complaining about a mechanic that already favors killers in many ways and is in a pretty healthy state. you can clearly force idiot tbagging survivors out by walking up and hitting them or if it the tbagging hurts you that bad you can walk away and wait for the timer to go down. i don't know what else to tell you besides suck it up.

I don't think I understand your post. Down someone, hit the gate and hook that guy to earn a 4k? If I hook that one guy and earn a 4k then I've already downed 3 and I wouldn't have done nothing to earn it. Don't like NOED? Cleanse totems and counter it.

EGC is just to give the game an end because there used to be wicked long hatch stand offs and the survivors could hold game hostage after doing all gens and opening the door but not leave until they felt like it. It's already very killer favored, it does not need offerings to favor the killer even more because survivors teabag in exit for 4 minutes.
If survivors are hanging out in the exit either chase them out or use the time to go around the map destroying pallets you may have missed or find the hatch to close for extra BP.

I've seen a considerable amount of posts about EGC being toxic for a great many people, not just me. I didn't play when there was no EGC timer, I play now. And while I play now I feel like 4 minutes is too long. I can appreciate that you don't agree and I phrased my post in a way which allows for civil discourse (that means respectful discussion... also means talking nice to people). "Suck it up" does not allow for respectful discourse. Using your rationale, since the devs did something once to help an area they shouldn't consider any more improvements ever again, which I think is silly. In my experience, people who say "suck it up" usually don't like others disagreeing with them or don't have something constructive to offer, they just like to be heard. (They also tend to say "Bro" and "Bruh" a lot, but that's a different matter.)

Blood Warden blocks the gates for 1 minute after you hook someone if they are opened, if you use that offering you suggest the total time EGC would last is 1 minute (-75% less of 4 minutes that lasts when someone is downed) which means its impossible to escape and everyone gets killed by EGC you dont even need to hit the other 3.
Ill be reiterative, if you want them to get out go there and smack them, EGC is fine as it is, its only 2 minutes.

Ahh, I've never run blood warden so it wasn't considered in my post. Thank you for clearing that up. You're right, a 75% decrease wouldn't help then, would it. Thank you for the explanation.
