Hard take on the new patch

Honestly, new patch aint that bad. Everyone is just out here to ######### on BHVR because they wanna look cool. Bunt in the grand scheme of things a gaming company makes one change to a game and people go ######### nuts over it.

Now im not gonna say everything in this patch is completely polished and fine tuned, its not. But its still fine, itll just take some getting used to since devs even said they dont have a plan on reverting anything back to the old ways. People out here ######### talking the devs and the patch act like DBD is the only game that makes big changes like this. Look at any game ever and you will see the same thing.

New HUD: After playing it on the PTB i thought first as well, its terrible and im not gonna play, but after playing it awhile i already got used to playing it and im fine with it. Yeah it took me like all day to get used to it and i agree the positioning of some thing are bad (like how many gens are remaining being in the top middle is horrible). The hook counter is a great addition

New Animations: Personally i like the animations it looks way more realistic, the only complaint i have with them is the injured status animations, To me the injured running and healthy running look almost the same, the only difference is that you have your hand on your waist when youre injured. And possibly 360'ing someone. It's still possible to 360 someone as a survivor but its just a lot harder. Besides that the animations looks clean. When you heal someone it looks better rather than just rubbing the air above them, the crawling animations look better. I will say it does look like were moving slower but the devs had said there wasnt anything changed.

Killer changes: I absolutely love the new clown changes, the addons and the new bottle is amazing. Once i started playing clown i didnt find myself stopping. My favorite part are the Parade Gloves addon where it changes how you throw the bottle, to me it just feels so much smoother. I like the idea of increasing his movement speed to gain some mobility for going across the map. Clown actually isnt the worst killer anymore. Wraith getting a "buff" is also nice and i use quotes because its not like they changed any core gameplay about him, just true invisibility at a certain distance which is something he shouldve had for awhile now. Trapper change is actually a shadow buff in disguise. Them making it harder to get out of traps is insane and is a buff in disguise.

Perk changes: All the perk changes are very nice. Fixated got changed and actually is a decent perk now. Hex:Undying is finally nerfed and got changed to work and synergize well with other Hex perks. I found it can be used well with Lullaby and and Devour Hope. Iron maiden going from 15 seconds of exposure to 30 seconds makes it a lot better and a better chance of getting value from it.

Overall i actually like the new patch. If go to change anything in the patch id change the locationg of how many gens are left back to to the bottom left and change the injured status animations to make them more injured looking so its easier to tell whos injured and whos not. I love all the changes to the perks and i love all the killer changes as well. People are just complaining because they dont like change. Dont worry, yall say youre uninstalling but youll be playing in another week or two, youll be back.

I agree. This patch is a big change to the game so its only natural that people will react in such a way. I've played all day with the new patch, and I'm already used to the UI. I understand that people don't like looking at every corner of the screen, but it personally didn't bother me. It shouldn't take more than 3 seconds to understand whats happening at a certain area of the UI.

The new animations does modernize the survivors a bit and I love it. I've played 3k+ hours and didn't make a career out of 360-ing killers so the "oh I can't 360 anymore" argument just flies over my head. Overall, this patch was quite refreshing excluding some of the bugs that made to the live patch.

I actually don't mind the hud it's the least terrible thing for the update for me it can obviously need improvements and I'm probably gonna be called a behavior shill for saying this
