Game Rework Survivor sided, Balanced, or Killer Sided?

Personally with God Pallets galore it's survivor Sided. Gens are easier to find. Although it's easier to find survivors.

It depends how the survivor team plays.

On paper, it's 4 v 1. But if the killer is seasoned enough with their desired killer, he can make a competent team in to mincemeat. Yesterday I was playing with a Tier 1 PC Nurse, who had naturally burned a Gideon offering. You can imagine how that turned out.

On the other hand, if there is a SWF squad (yes, many of which are quite unbearable), who know all the tricks and vault loops etc, along with having planned perks which compliment each other, the killer can be subjected to a humiliating destruction.

Again, it's all measured on the behaviour and ability of the players.

Overall, whilst there some elements of the killer role which are problematic ie one down hatchet Huntress, I think the game leans in favour of survivors. There are plenty of second chance perks which are at a survivor disposal. Also, playing a killer, the pressure is on from the start: the clock is ticking down as gens start to progress. And when you go after one survivor, you've got the other three potentially hammering away at gen. The pressure role is eased at the beginning of a match as survivor: here the pressure is shared with three other players, and you only feel the noose tightening when your teammates become hooked or die.

You could look at it as the killer can, true to title, kill the survivors. Every hook state acts as a 'live lost'. But on the other hand, a completed gen acts a 'live' for the killer.

Personally, that's my take on it: Survivors have the upper ground.

    And I'm a 50/50 survivor/killer.

    Nothing new to this opinion.

with this current hitbox i could say killer sided so much. even when playing killer i'm feeling sorry for survivor. i could literally hit survivor in the other side of windows.

i stopped playing survivor after this patch even my queue time is longer for killer ( my region always got instant queue as survivor )

Sometimes it feels like all three are correct.

I'm guessing the killers have a higher win rate.

That's not the map that the actual game issue this is about the map the game and it is very survivor sided there are 3 god pallets back to back which are the unhealthiest design in the game as there is no gameplay there once the pallet is dropped and then there are even more pallets which are very safe way to many pallets that are to safe in this map regarding the walls still trying to figure that out if they are break immediatly or i can leave them be

anyway there's no state on map only. totem are harder to find also and dev doesnt said anything about current hitbox also current animation for survivor is a nerf.

anyway i think i will keep playing killer for a moment

the problem with these polls is that we need to take the killer sided answers 4 to 1 cause of the survivor to killer ratio...

That's how I feel about every poll. Maybe not always 4 Survivor mains to every Killer main, but definitely not 1 to 1. It makes since. Its MUCH easier and less stressful to play Survivor.

100% killer sided. With the update making movement feel different and the new and blatant range the killer is downing from, chases are being shortened drastically. Im finding it very hard to loop killers lately when usually its alot harder for me to be even injured. The Reworked maps seem super open and palletless. EXCEPT gideon meat plant but the issue with that map is there's an INSANE amount of dead ends if gens aren't completed. Everyone room on the bottom floor is blocked and it's just ridiculously hard to run a killer or even find a gen. I play alot of solo queue and Its usually hard but with this update I myself feel worse of a player. My escape rate has went down an insane alot these past two days and I feel like the killers are unaffected if not buffed by the new locomotion. But that's just me

  • Survivor Sided

The Game now has an even dumber amount of pallets than it did before. And every single one is safe. So not only is it incredibly survivor sided, it's just a pallet breaking simulator for killer.

Way too many safe pallets and breakable walls. At first I thought that maybe the pallets were safe against strictly M1 Killers and that anti-loop Killers could stop them but nope. You have to break them unless you’re Nurse or Spirit. They’re actual god pallets. I knew something was fishy once the devs announced The Game was getting updated, but I wasn’t sure why I felt like that at the time. Now I know why. The devs got lazy and just threw a bunch of breakable walls and pallets there and called it a day. I’m scared to see Crotus Prenn now.

Also I might have just gotten unlucky but hooks are much harder to get to even after I kicked the walls. I wouldn’t be surprised if every Survivor I faced got their wiggle bar to at least 50% full. Two sacrifices on the second floor and that was pretty much it. An entire section of that floor became completely devoid of hooks. If the last Survivor hadn’t given up I would have been unable to hook her. The Survivors didn’t use an oak offering.

At first I thought The Game map was killer sided but that was playing Doctor who has always had an overwhelming advantage on that map (and still does). My first game not as Doc? 4 escapes and it has yet to waver outside of playing Doc.

It still has a tonne of unmindgamable pallets, the layout is still bad for the majority of killers for it used to be bad for, and they made it worse for one type of killer that it used to be good for, stealth killers.

so like even though i agree that there's more pallets, ya'll still managing to hit through / teleport to the other side when the pallet's already been dropped / stunned you bc of messed up hit boxes.

That's not a map problem though, that's a problem with the entire game.

I think the game level has gained a bunch of new things that favor both killers and survivors.

The new breakable walls has alot of areas being much easier for killers to corner survivors (like the basement area has one exit unless the killer breaks the wall or the survivors finish the nearby Gen.)

Survivors have gained a lot more pallets to use, but the map is a lot harder to hide in and feels it bit more open making the more pallets sort of needed.

I think a high number of people are calling it survivor sided because it used to be one of the best killer maps but is much more fair now making there perception skewed.

my opinion may be a little skewed though as I have been recently running a lot more aggro builds (like spirit fury build + STBFL) on my killers and thus can more easily cope with high number of pallets then builds around delaying gens do.

Even IKEA doesn't have this many pallets.

I think it's survivor sided when it comes to the new game map, I can't see a single reason why the game is killer sided. Sure, the bad hit boxes but that's the developers fault lol.

I farmed with someone after an early DC, and I thought I'd just chase him around a little and break some pallets... but the pallets never ended. Every 12 feet or so, there was another one, and most of them were super safe loops. To me, it's less that there are so many and more that you have to break practically all of them once thrown.

    Lumberjack Myers, part 1

Mikey's got a long sharp knife

He starts choppin' and don't know when to stop

All you fellows gotta watch your wood

'Cause Mike don't care who's loops he chops

He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'

He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'

He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'

He just hacks, wacks, choppin' that wood

Ever since Mikey flew into town

    He's been havin' a ball

Just cuttin' and choppin' for miles around

Safe pallets, god loops, old walls and all

Wakes up in the morning, half past five

    Chops from sunrise to sunset

I don't see how he stays alive

Wood's gonna be the death of ole Mike, yeah

yea but that would imply 4 times the people saying its killer sided. Its already like 5 times saying its surv sided. Both sides feel it. There are way too many connected pallets. Even besides that, the map just kinda sucks now...

"Balanced" not meaning that it's actually balanced but that there are disgusting features that both sides can exploit. The amount of pallets is insane and I hope it's some sort of bug. On the other hand, many rooms are deathtraps, because there's a door that only opens when the gen is done, a breakable wall, and ONE open door to get into there, so it's like the map went from having one bathroom to having like five of them. Not to mention the amount of dead ends that those breakable walls generate, as long as you don't break them, and also the difficulty to reach hooks because of those same breakable walls. So yeah. A mess. A bit more survivor sided maybe? But a mess for both honestly.

No matter what otz says there are too many god pallets, 6/7 each time. And billions of other insanely safe pallets. not a good map
