Killer and Survivor nerfs are alternated, so NOED/Freddy/Spirit will get gutted next
This is pretty obvious, but I've always thought the devs have a way, way longer nerf roadmap than they let on in the developer updates. The gut punches to survivors and killers are intentionally spaced and alternated to not drive away one segment of the population for too long.
Killers just got a meganerf this patch, and survivors are next in line with DS/OoO. That means the nerf guns (for the next mid-chapter patch) are squarely focused on the killers. Two of the following three things will happen:
(1) Freddy meganerf
(2) Spirit meganerf
(3) NOED being made useless (probably they will add a requirement that 3 of the 5 totems still be up for it to activate)
They won't do all three, and the third will be saved for the next killer nerf patch. But after those three dragons are slayed, there won't be a lot of obvious candidates to nerf on the killer side...

You know I really don't understand all these 'nerf noed' posts. I hardly ever see it in play though i'm sure it's far more common in the grey/yellow ranks.

The only thing they need to do with No Ed is just expose everyone when it activates. Just like Rancor exposes the obsession when the final gen pops

I'm against nerfing NoEd. The only nerf I want to noed, is an indirect nerf through a totem counter in the Fabulous New Shiny Beautiful HUD™.
Spirit and Freddy are mostly fine except for their add-ons. They are strong vanilla but with Add-ons can become unmanageable, especially coupled with powerful meta perks like Ruin and Tinkerer.

Lol if you were right and they alternative then we have a lot more coming. I legit dont think there has been a relevant survivor nerf in the year and half ive been playing

you can't touch 5 totems in a whole game? you can be a gen bot for 80 secs x 5 but you can't touch a totem for 12? lol ok, NOED OP

NOED is not op, maybe on green or purple ranks on red ranks i will be happy if killer had it. basically 1 perk slot wasted.
on the other side spirit needs nerf with stridor and freddy also needs nerf but maybe on one of his skills.
personally for me it doesnt seems fair i need to run to the other map to wake up only to have in dream state when i got hit basically easy dying situation after got hit

Who cares. Shes unplayable when going against her. I cant wait until they nerf her, she'll actually be fair and a challenge to play.

They base things off their statistics supposedly. Based off the killrates they shared 5 months ago. Freddie is probably getting a hit. Other killers I'm not so sure about. The problem is the data they showed doesn't quite show the full story.

Shes already unfun and unplayable for survivors. Yet we've been putting up with it for 2 years.

NoED should be nerfed to where only survivors who've been hooked at least once are exposed. If you've never been hooked, you don't get exposed. That way the killer can't just camp one survivor, and then clean up with NoED.

Honestly all Freddy needs is a more reliable way to stay awake on the survivor side. Falling asleep every 60-90 seconds makes waking up feel pointless and means Freddy’s snares will always be in effect.
I think Spirit is very easy with a low skill ceiling, but I don’t think she’s terrible. You have to at least have decent game sense to do well with her. The game needs characters that are good while also not requiring a large amount of skill to do well with.

Nah the noed nerf should just be everyone dies, killer included. The match ends instantly. Then the end screen is the entity wins and everyone gets tons of BP. It's called no one escapes death for a reason.

She was already nerfed back at the end of 2019 with nurse. She is pretty fine right now. The only people who seem to struggle against her are survivors who try and loop her like a standard m1 killer. Also, killers have had to put up with swfs since the games release, so suck it up buttercup.

You wouldn’t consider them shrinking a majority of maps and lowering the number of pallets nerfing survivors? Little bit of bias I see. Also, new animations are technically a survivor nerf. DS and OoO are being changed soon. I feel like the toolbox nerfs are also less than a year and a half old, but I may be wrong.

I don't mind her being fair. I've been asking for a balance change for a while now. I just want her to still be fun and viable.

That's why they showed us... They gave us barebones stats and washed their hands of it
Freddie doesn't move slower when putting his traps down and they take like a second or two to put (up or down)
That Spirit bug where you could hear her in phase probably was the best solution they had (go figure it was a bug)
NOED should be an instant pop up (Hey, you allowed NOED to activate... have fun) when the last gen is done and a totem counter... like people mentioned before

It is actually pretty un-manageable in a solo team. Solo is the main problem with NOED.

Im a survivor main. I just finished playing having done every survivor challenge. I didnt so much as look at the killer ones and i dread doing them because killer, same as you because we both know killer is a chore.
Now if me saying im something instead of something else devalues your entire point maybe you should realize you're wrong. Not just in this but everything, you see ######### like that all the time in arguments where i killed it just by saying im not on a side you hate.
Also the fact that you put the toolbox nerf at the end, the only nerf that actually happened while i was playing, shows how stupid this is. You thought of it as last minute because most people think of it as a buff, both to sabo to the green ranks and below and repair to those who know.
Ps. New animations are great i hope BHVR is really sniffing the ######### that people can be pissed tho because it shows the type of people they catered to to get to where we are today

The killers are fine, some survivors complain because they're unwilling to adapt play styles. Asking for hex Nerfs just makes me laugh, spending hours posting how they think it's unfair but won't take some time away from gens to effectively remove the perk from the match.

The only way I can think you managed to draw that conclusion is if you compartmentalized your information in some way.
Either that or its a form of cognitive dissonance. Your alternating theory is wrong.
History OF THE GAME:
Since release, killer has been buffed, survivor nerfed. This is important to understand and through examples you’ll see why that has happened. It shows you why the game has had the trajectory it has and why we are now in our current quagmire.
It all started with the introduction of swf and the 2 escapes, 2 kills devs unit of metric. Although that metric has held at a solid 3 kills one escape for over a year now according to recent stats.
The devs failed to understand that people would want to play with friends in an online game (serious), what we got was ‘lobby wars’ at release. Where survivors would join different lobbies looking for their friends and leave if they couldn’t find them. It was horrible trying to find games. Hence why we got swf, that completely unbalanced the game by creating coordinated survivors that could communicate. The devs have been nerfing survivor ever since and completely crippled solo survivor play in the process.
It also important to mention marketing and advertising. There’s nothing special about survivors, they are just reskins with some new perks that all play the same. THATS IT. EACH killer has its own unique play style and as you see from their advertising, its always new killers they promote. Survivors get a mention, but its never really the selling point.
100% killers are prioritized over survivors. Despite the group think mentality of this forum saying the otherwise.

Having a window vault animation and letting survivors know when the killer is using their power is something every killer other than spirit had. It wasn't a nerf.

Actually survivors were buffed and nerfed, than buffed like crazy, than buffed a little more, then nerfed, then nerfed, then buffed, then nerfed, then nerfed, then nerfed, then buffed, then nerfed...
As for killers... It's too confusing to touch. Some buffs around. Plenty of nerfs. Many, many net neutral (some call it buffs, some call it nerfs) or quality of life things.

seriously what play styles needed to counter spirit stridor with good headphone I'm seriously asking. I already tried it and even i can hear survivor really well when I'm phasing using spirit.

or how does Freddy got all survivor to sleep doing nothing even when you woke up 1 hit needed to make you sleep again, basically M1 with passive perk

like i said with good headphones you still could hear survivor. already tested no need to moving even stand still spirit could detect you.
the only way to counter this is no mither + iron will but yeah survivor need to adjust killer playstyle just use this 2 perks

Infinite loops are not something addressable by play style, you drop chase or forfeit gens. Those loops are not a defense just poorly designed and create a bad mindset. Seems that a lot of players believe the only option is to run forward and attempt looping until downed.
Yeah spirit can here you with stridor, so can every other killer. I use a stealth approach and do my best to remain distant enough that sound is not an issue(before being injured), when found I attempt to break chase immediately using scratches from a loop to disguise my direction. If the PLAYER is more skilled, then I do my best to ensure some gen progression or dump the chase on someone else(worst case scenario)
With freddy, so what if your asleep. He still has to hit you twice for the down and the snares only work in chase if you try to use the same loop continuously. If your not gonna break chase then just run the loop until he starts placing snares and move on to the next.

yeah every killer can move as fast as spirit and with no time left before not hitting you. well infinites can be countered by spirit killer.
Yeah freddy has the power that combines several killer making him not OP.
The point is making the game balanced for survivor and killer not making some OP bullshit on each sides.
Better buff trapper and myers, nerf spirit and freddy.
That way we all would have more fun.

I'm all for balance but I think that should be done with peak performance in mind. Lack of ability does not equate to inability.
4v1 is the focus and killers can only 1v1, if the killers feel like a joke then the game is broke.
I want tougher games, but my idea of a fun match is overcoming strong monsters. I just don't see any killers that can't already be bested with knowledge of the killer's design and limitations. Perks aren't even a requirement as the recommended meta is usually just additional chances.

Neither Spirit nor Noed are even on their list of things to nerf in the next year, don't get your hopes up.

if it's far stronger than other killer then it's not balanced and it's not just me that feels that. I dont want stronger monsters, it's your choice not mine. if killer easy to defeat then it need to be buffed and if it's stronger than other killer it need to be nerfed.
anyway it's still up to dev's choice to nerf it or not and freddy's nerf will come sooner or later and hope that spirit will also coming soon

Play the game more and you'll understand that none of these killers are op or unbeatable. Freddy use to be strong because of undying but that's been nerfed, Remember you cant nerf killer to be balanced against bad players or it wont be fun or fair at higher ranks and skills

Spirit is OP because of stridor and his mind games. Survivor doesnt have info on her phasing and stridor makes her not need to predict where is the survivor location

OP means he is more powerful than others.
Freddy power is more powerful than any other killer and i dont see why undying nerf is freddy nerf this is 2 things different.
while stridor spirit makes her know exact position of survivor.

In my opinion what should happen:
Freddy: make him work to put people into his dream state and make him a regular visible killer when you're not sleeping.
Spirit: idk how to fix that
Noed: leave it as it is. Perhaps give everyone the exposed status when the final gen pops but that would take away the surprise
