Should pallets be Freddys base power and snares require an add on?

Pretty much title. Snare Freddy is pretty similar to the clown power wise on loops. Plus his other abilities.

    I think pallets are fine as an addon. The pallet addon already has issues on some maps like Midwich where you can't place any dream pallets until the survivors drop pallets and I would much rather the consistent power be the base kit one.

    Yeah they should be I remember one of the devs saying pallets are better than snares don’t remember who though.

    Freddy would be pretty bad with base pallets. 3 gens should go on the first chase against a pallet Freddy.

    I think he should have like, 2 dream pallets or something basekit that he can use alongside snares. I think it's really lame that an entire mechanic is locked behind addons. I hate addons

    It doesn't solve any issues with Freddy, and his current pallet add-ons (that would become snares) are brown. It'd just be another Demo-Rat Liver situation.

    No, that would be horrible. Pallets are weak and serve as a fun addons, nefing Freddy like that is a bad idea. Small number changes is what he should get, not completely chaning large parts of his kit, again.

    They just need a limit around maybe 9 snares on the map at a time so they have to be more careful where they put them and if they spam them and lose track on a chase the 'traps' placed elsewhere would despawn ... also the timer to get down t sleep should start out longer and each time they fall into sleep maybe happen 5-10 secs sooner until it hits the gradual time it has now and then stays there to simulate the fatigue from trying to remain awake and since he can hit them to put them in it faster anyways

    This wouldn’t change anything. I basically only ever play pallet Freddy (when I play him) and I’ve never run out of those add ons so people could still easily play snares every match. Freddy is the opposite of add on dependent as well so it’s not like it would require him to sacrifice anything to use his snares.

    Freddy simply needs to work in reverse. Everyone starts in the dream, often times like in the movie. Whenever Freddy hits you, you wake up. Every time you use an adrenaline move you wake up. Every time you wake you fall asleep faster, meaning you really need to time when to wake up. Because after falling asleep so many times it becomes permanent. You’re subjected to Freddy’s power for the remainder of the trial. Seeing Freddy while awake makes him disappear intermediately. While he’s carrying survivors he becomes invisible to wakened players. That’s how Freddy actually works and kills.

    This makes sense because the pain from being hooked wakes you, so him physically hurting you should wake you. You cannot sleep while adrenaline pumps through your body. So using perks like Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Head On, Lithe, Balanced Landing , etc should wake you. Bursting a gen wakes you already.

    This way Freddy is strongest against often against more healthier survivors. Injured survivors don’t have to worry about the snares, but you’re easier to down. If you waste too much time healing you’ll likely fall back asleep. When you get injured by him you have to use that time to escape the chase before falling back asleep, or he can start ensnaring you again.

    ah, well I don't use him lol so i didn't notice that , but that sounds like a reasonable limit so I don't see what the problem is besides the sleep default timers

    I'd be ok with this. Snares are significantly stronger than dream pallets so having them become the addon instead makes sense.
