Chapter Idea: Unbound Cruelty (Pt.1, The Orphan [Killer])

Kids are cruel. Sometimes, evil is born, not made. Others, it is forged through neglect and abuse. Both evils would come together to create a monster in a small city on the Eastern Coast of America.

Given up for adoption shortly after her birth, Sherry Kerrigan never felt like she fit in. Chewed up and spat out by the State Adoption System, she spent her childhood being shipped from one Foster Home to the next, never staying in one place long enough to make friends or find a decent foothold in life. Eventually, Sherry ended up in the care of a particularly well-to-do family in New York. The couple was the first to ever attempt to make her feel wanted, and tried very hard to provide a loving home despite how late in life she'd entered their lives.

When she was fifteen, her new parents entered her in the most prestigious Private School in the state. It had everything and more to offer towards a better life, from extensive extracurricular programs to the best-funded education syllabus in the country. Nonetheless, Sherry struggled to fit in even here, and this unfortunately caught the attention of a group of bullies. For two years, they slowly began to make her their favorite victim. It started with poking, pinching, and flicking, eventually evolving into loud insults and even physical abuse. Her quiet nature kept her from ever seeking help.

One day, the group of bullies managed to corner Sherry in one of the school's storage wings. Trying to satisfy their sadistic urges, the bullies began to beat her mercilessly, pushing her to the ground and kicking her in the chest and stomach, punching her arms as she tried to defend herself and pulling her hair out by the fistful. To them, it was all fun and games, but the mood changed when the leader of the group brandished a pair of scissors. The room fell completely silent, and the others watched in horror as their role model descended on the huddled up, sobbing mess on the floor at their feet. Screams of terror broke through the silence and blood splattered across the cold floor.

To the bully's surprise, it was not Sherry's blood, but that of the bully who was now screamin in anger and holding the open wound in her neck. Their victim dropped the scissors in her hand and tried to run, but they quickly piled on top of her and held her down. On the leader's orders, they dragged her to a dusty old locker and crammed her inside, locking it tight and leaving her to scream and pound on the door as they locked off the entire wing.

As she cried and struggled to free herself, but to no avail, and as starvation started to set in, panic turned to rage, rage turned to fury. The inside of the locker became freezing cold, and the metal door before her gave way at long last, leading to a dark realm of fog and fear...

Sherry's Foster parents would spend the next year visiting police stations and private detectives, but to no avail. Their questions only became more numerous on the anniversary of her disappearance, when the body of the school's most notorious bully was discovered locked in a locker, in a part of the school where no one was permitted, with a look of sheer terror on her face.

The New Killer is The Orphan.

Special Ability: Hide and Seek

When standing in front of a locker, press the active ability button to enter it. While in a locker, the Orphan is Undetectable. Press the active ability button again to exit the locker. Exited lockers will have their auras revealed to the Orphan to a maximum of three seperate lockers. Revealed lockers can be teleported to while inside a locker and pressing the secondary ability button.

While in a locker, pressing and holding the active ability will send the Orphan exploding from the locker in a burst of speed, letting out a disorienting scream. Succesfully hitting one survivor within 10 seconds of rushing from a locker instantly puts them in the dying state. Furthermore, survivors who attempt to enter a locker that the Orphan is currently occupying will result in an automatic grab.

The Orphans Perks Are (in order from top to bottom):

Claustrophobia - The last locker you searched becomes marked by the Entity. If a survivor enters the marked locker, the Entity blocks it off, trapping them inside for 4/7/10 seconds. Blocked lockers cannot be interacted with by Survivors or the Killer. Claustrophobia has a cooldown of 120/90/60 seconds.

Leave Me Alone - Each time you are blinded or stunned by Survivors by any means, gain a token up to a maximum of 2/4/6 tokens. Each token of Leave Me Alone increases the speed of all break actions by 10%. Furthermore, movement speed while carrying survivors is increased by 10% per token.

Hex: Ring Around the Rosie

A hex rooting its power in long chases and tenacious Survivors. Each time a stack of bloodlust is gained, RATR gains a stack of its own for a maximum of 4. Stacks can only be gained once per Survivor. The gains of each stack differ from each other;

-Ring Around the Rosie (Stack 1): Movement Speed while in a chase is increased by 1/3/5%

-Pocket Full of Posies (Stack 2): Bloodpoint gains of all actions are increased by 50/100/150%

-Ashes to Ashes (Stack 3): If broken, the Hex totem will respawn on an available Dull Totem once per Trial.

-We All Fall Down (Final Stack): All injured survivors are afflicted by the broken status effect. For 30/60/90 seconds.

That's it for the Killer part! The four icons at the bottom are addon concepts. Please, let me know what you guys think, or if you have any cool ideas to flesh her out!

What is her movement speed and Terror Radius size?

I really like the idea of making Locker do more for the Killer but it is hard for me to picture how useful her abilities would be. Does the speed boost last 10 seconds? Is the speed boost as fast as a lunge? How fast can she enter Lockers and exit them for the boost?

I like the perks especially Ring Around the Rosie. Claustrophobia sounds a bit weak to me, but the flavor is very good.

Well, she's a teleporting Killer, but I don't think she needs to have slow movement speed for it like nurse. I'd say maybe just above average speed (I don't have the values memorized.)

Im not sure how big to make her terror radius either, seeing as how she can go undetectable pretty much whenever. What do you think?

The speed boost when exiting a locker needs to be fast enough to startle someone, as the whole Idea here is a locker jumpscare, so to make up for that, she probably wouldn't have too great a lunge, or maybe even no lunge at all. Or the boost could be similar to Legions frenzy, only lethal.

Ring Around the Rosie is absolutely meant to be her meta perk, so Im glad you like it! Claustrophobia may seem a bit weak, but its intention is pretty strong if you think about it. You're essentially removing a survivor from the game for a limited time, meaning no saves, gennies, or heals coming from them. Maybe upping the locked in time wouldn't be so bad?

Survivors would probably just not get in lockers if they found out she was the killer.

    Great art though.

Which is fine, after all, the lockers provide plenty for her even without Survivors using them. Thats why I made Claustrophobia a perk that can be used on all killers.

    Ah. That makes sense.

Also, imagine Claustrophobia and Iron Maiden put together.

See, its evil combinations like that that I miss. They're getting rarer and rarer these days with nerfs and useless new perks.
