Lunar Event causes -1 rank ?

Most propably when using the new lunar event offering everyone in match has high chance to obtain -1 rank even if they should stay in same pip range or +1.
Ecample here:
I was lucky enough to reach 2 pip progress but got only 1.
When i get to 0 i get -1.
It happens so often during this event I deranked from rank 3 to 8 quite fast. Can it be fixed asap?

It ######### you out of your Adepts as killer. You get Merciless but due to the pips showing -1, it doesn't give you the Adept achievement.
