Flashlight Blind Sound Effect?
I'm wondering why the new update added a flashlight blind sound effect, when you are blinded by a flashlight? This doesn't make any sense to me. I'd understand if the survivor got the sound effect, so you know if you blinded the killer or not, but for the killer to hear the sound effect as well? Isn't that completely unneeded? Why does there need to be a sound effect? An audio cue is not giving you any information that the blind from the flashlight isn't already.
I've been against a few squads today and all it takes is a few survivors blinding at every pallet, for this sound effect to go from annoying, to infuriating. Please remove this, or give the option to turn it off. It wasn't needed before and it isn't needed now. Another baffling addition that no one asked for.

Remember when they changed the auras for no reason and simultaniously making them impossible to see? Remember the eye straining red glare added when you got stunned by a pallet that no one asked for? Remember the annoying scream Hillbilly lets out when he chainsaws that no one asked for? The new flashlight blind sound effect falls under the "random stuff added that no one asked for" category like the other things listed.

It's probably because they think it's unfair to make the footsteps inaudible so that the killer can track the survivor during the blindness.
I'm well aware that such biased view adjustments have been made many times. Sigh.

Oh I didn't even think about that. Yeah this screws with tracking footsteps. Come on, its a flashlight that affects my eyes, I don't see with my ears. BHVR why is this new sound added?

I was so curious that I actually tried to shine a flashlight in my own eyes, and it was glaring, but I could hear just fine. That's because the ears are not the eyes. Perhaps while being illuminated by a flashlight, you may not be able to smell, feel your skin, or even taste. Can this be trivia in the misty forest?

It's so good killers with good headsets don't easily follow you like against vets flashlights do next nothing on most maps.
You can still follow survivors kinda if you can hear through the new sound effect and it only lasts through half the base blind duration, i think it's a nice change however survivor is kinda strong so idk.

They added it so we can actually hear our eyes being melted out of our skull.

yeah no that is how they used to work and it was horrendous for killers
go look at clips of flashlights when insta blind was a thing, i would rather deal with the current blind effect at pallets then go back to anything resembling that.
the reason i bring up insta blinds is because if they are not instant you getting the blind in a chase good killers just look down.

I honestly couldn't care about tracking. They can mute footsteps while blind if its for balance, But I'd almost rather play the whole game on mute, than hear that sound effect of being blinded. Maybe this is some dumb way to force people to use lightborn.... making people not use a perk because its good/ worth having, but because the game has annoying and unnecessary sound effects.

I like it from the survivor side. Very helpful audio queue. Killer hearing it doesn’t make sense at all.
