Stephen King chapter
I had this idea for a chapter based on Stephen King's various works. You've got monsters like He who walks behind the Rows, or the Aliens from Dreamcatcher, or the vampires from Salem's Lot. Tons of options for survivors as well. So who from Stephen King's works would you like to see in dbd?

I think "It"/Pennywise is a popular choice for Killer given it's a monstrous creature very much like the Entity, feeding on the fear of it's victims. You could have one or even two of the adult Losers as Survivors (hey, we got two survivors from Stranger Things after all). Only problem there is that we do have the Clown, so it could be easy to confuse the two at a distance.
That said for a location, I think the Overlook Hotel would be a fantastic choice for a map. Parts of the hedge maze for barriers/vaults, have the lobby and several areas of the hotel open for survivors to run through and explore. Hell, you could have Wendy Torrance as a Survivor if you do use the Shining as the Chapter basis, although don't ask me what her perks would be!
Or we could go nuts and have Christine the Killer Car haha. Honestly King wrote so many wild villains.

Personally I would love to see this one as killer.
Ok fair enough, it's not from Stephen King, but man this movie was awesome and his way of talking 🤘

None of them in all honesty. Pennywise is the only really interesting one and he doesn't fit the lore, atmosphere, etc of the game, we already have a "clown" and in general just wouldn't be a cohesive pick.
As much as people give FNAF characters flak I think Pennywise is a far worse/less fitting than even they would be.

I also think IT and the Shining are the most popular and (kinda) fitting ones.
For Pennywise, the chapter should be based on the movies because some people think the book version of IT wouldn’t make sense lore wise because... whatever. I am sure they could still find a way to make it work either way.
For Jack Torrance, he is canonically just a man, so he would kinda need help from the Entity, don’t know how though...

Given Jack got possessed by the Hotel, it could be something to do with how lost his mind is and any lingering influence from it. I imagine one perk could be 'All Work, No Play', which gives him buffs the longer he's in a chase with a survivor. 'Shine' could be a play on the fact that he doesn't have the power himself but targeted those with it - instead he can detect people using aura reading powers in certain conditions (maybe just whenever he gets seen by an aura skill, he sees the Survivor who can see him, but that might be too strong). The last one I imagine to be some kind of map awareness perk, given a major mind twist is that he's 'always been the caretaker' of the Hotel - and given he's always been there, he would know his way around the map. No idea how to balance those things tho!
