What is up with hitboxes?

Ever since the update it seems like visual animations and hitboxes don't seem to align. As survivor (and killer) hits seem to connect that don't look right nor align with muscle memory.
What happened? Is this being addressed? This is a serious gameplay issue

There's a very, very large and noticeable desynchronisation with the servers, which affects survivor much more than killer, however a killer like Huntress will definitely get messed up by it from time to time.
If you look at their tweets, Bhvr have addressed that they're looking into it, and given just how many people they're losing right now for this patch alone, it shouldn't take too long, for once. As opposed to years to fix one ridiculous game breaking issue that we normally get.
