What’s up (with the) Doc?
First, hello! I’m new to the forum. I looked for the standard, “Introduce Yourself” thread, but didn’t see one, so I’ll just say “hello” here.
I started playing this game in December on PS4 and am a low to mid player, by which I mean I’m only rank 16/17, but tend to hang decently with players up to rank 8 or so.
It feels like the game is starting to click for me and I’m surprised to find that, even including the intuitive murder machine that is The Hag, my consistently best games tend to be with The Doctor.
Is this common for newer players? Could it be that I’m just responding to a good perk layout?
I currently have him equipped with Barbecue & Chili, Thrilling Tremors, A Nurse’s Calling, and Discordance. I know Distressing is great for him, but I haven’t been fortunate enough to unlock it in the web. Same with Save the Best for Last and Pop Goes the Weasel. I just picked up The Plague and, once I get her perks unlocked, I’m hoping to try out Infectious Fright.
Despite having the rarer add-ons, I’ve been sticking to variations on the “Restraint” and “Discipline” series ones as the former aids in chasing down survivors and the latter just makes it easier to see them.
Maybe I’m just doing well because I essentially have a sort of “training wheels” build?
Anyway, sorry for the long post. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Doctor is a very effective Killer at those ranks, yes, but once you get to red ranks you'll generally find he wont be performing quite as well for you. He's a noobstomper, essentially. Very good against newbies because they have no idea how to deal with him, less effective against experienced players.

i mean in saying that, even red ranks have hard time versing him as i main doctor they dont realise when they get shocked it lasts 2.5 seconds and they get stuck against a window
