Spirit isn't too powerful, the other Killers are too weak (illustrated by the fact at high-level/tournament play only Spirit, Nurse and Hag are really viable)

I don't know if the Spirit needs a nerf, but it does seem like both the Spirit and Ghost face breed some of the most thirsty/try hard/ gamers who think this is an esport type gamer and their play styles really suck the fun out of the game.
it is sort of like Bubba/trapper breed basement camping boring players that will just throw an entire game away to get 1 kill. Not sure why the most esports/tryhard sweaty people get pulled into Spirit/ghost face so damm much,

True Spirit is harder to counterplay than your average killer (don't think many survivor mains or killer mains would disagree with that) i suppose my point would be you shouldn't be able to counterplay 100% of the time - otherwise it would be imbalanced against the killer side. BHVR state that a balanced outcome is 2 deaths 2 escapes so being able to counterplay a killer 100% of the time (assuming the actual human playing killer is competant) then it's not a balanced killer therefore not a balanced game.
With regards to the original question and ways to counterplay have you watched any streamers? Tru3ralent and NotOtzdarva are very good at demonstrating methods .

You'll find them helpful. That's how I learned how to counter spirit. Try truetalent, on YouTube he has a video where he actually uses diagrams to explain but also watch a few videos where he is survivor vs spirit and he'll explain. I typed in 'truetalent spirit counter' and a few good vids came up. Otzdarva is just an absolute gem and he makes so many useful videos and tutorials, not just for beginners to the game but for good players looking to get a further edge.
Its definitely worth watching them mate, watching the best and picking up tips may even help your overall game. I played dbd and got to about rank 10 ans stalled. Watched a few streamers and how they play and that definitely helped me to red rank. Watching the best (both survibir and killer) helps you become tje best. Hope this helped and good luck !

There alot of good YouTubers that explain stuff otzdarva is pretty good but you also got ones like ohtofu, jaee and if you want to C a toxic one try sweh he's pretty funny the crap he does also ayrun pretty good to

Np. like to help others if I can i don't main anything or a particular side I like to get good with all killers and I'm happy to play any survivour. What I do as survivour is min I get on gen Im already planning my escape if say the spirit was pulling up

Judge someone by what they say, not by who is saying it.
Writing something off just because of who is saying it without caring about if what they say is correct or incorrect is just flawed reasoning.

That's not luck, it's skill. The better player wins, good spirits know to watch for common counters and prep load outs for those survivors that are a challenge.

Sure she can be countered by Iron Will which is quite useless compared to other perk but stridor exist making the iron will useless. Perhals the game would be better off it neither side can hear the sound since survicor cant hear Spirit. Spirit shouldnt hear survivor sound too when phasing

Someone that is hypothetically bad at the game and knows nothing about it could still happen to say something that is true.
With your standards you would just refuse to even hear what they had to say and regard it as wrong.
This hypothetical persons past comments and actions may make it very likely that his statement will be wrong but that does not de facto mean it will be.
Even if someone that I thoroughly dispised and thought was incompetent said that they had proof that something I said was factually incorrect I would still look at their evidence because whether I like the person or not, or whether I think they're smart or not, has zero effect on whether their evidence is true or not.
IE 1+1=2 whether someone you hold in high regards says it, or if Tru3 says it. Your reasoning shuts out all dialogue with anyone you may disagree with. This isn't an open minded thought process.
You also elude to the Spirits he plays against are just bad and for that this redirects back to my original statement as to why this doesn't make sense.

Every killer will eventually catch up and let's see spine chill works like if you want a solid build that works even better vs spirit spine chill iron will deadhead and a perk of your choice pebble even works because they can't see you all they have is a noise notification and scratch Mark's

easily anyone who says spirit is balanced just doesn't want their ez downs to be a history.
every killer has some kind of counterplay without perks. spirit is an absolute coinflip killer because she said so. camping a pallet doesn't do ######### and it has ######### odds too. imagine a killer that just stands there to fake their power and gets a grab on pallet because survivor had a wrong read. it's a bad design and should be changed.
her noise during phrase bug was actually really valid and it was easier to tell what she's about to do. she can hear you? you can hear her too and answer to the situation more properly, instead of going "oh ######### i don't know what to do.. drop pallet? stand still? walk away for scratch mark juke? keep looping? vault?" and get downed anyway.

The secret to beating a spirit is to do something they don't expect. They expect pallet camping, and the vault grab works because they expect you to freak out and vault.
You need to do something else, instead of vaulting, turn and run, double back on your tracks, get near completed gens to mask your sounds.
Go play killer, be the spirit, know your enemy.

can i give you the secret of spirit ? good headphones. you can track people really accurate using good headphones. better play other killers, especially spirit with stridor which gives no counterplay, no iron will is not the counter it only reduced the range

He has multiple videos against Spirit where he isn't using any perks to counter her.
Also no, those perks to counter her are not useless against other killers. Most the perks to counter Spirit are either meta or highly used perks that are good against all killers.

There are still survivors who camp pallets against Spirit? Most of the survivors that i play against just leave the loop, run confusing paths or try to mindgame in any way (drop pallet from "wrong" side and vault, slow vault, drop and run...)
I started playing her strictly without Stridor and against better teams it's a pain in the ass. Mostly 1 or 2 have Iron Will and i find tracking running directions with scratchmarks or moving grass alone really wonky. It becomes a coinflip for the Spirit as well.
She shines with players who have a really good game sense. That's why some of the more experienced players and bigger streamers say she's OP. If you're already very good at the game you can just pick her up and become a good Spirit relatively fast. Nurse is even more oppressing imo but nobody has a problem with her because you need some "mechanical" skill which means you have to sink some hours into her to be good. If you don't have the game sense and experience with the game, you will mindgame yourself very hard, i know some better players who said they can't get play with her. I personally don't have a problem playing against her because most are boosted and/or rely on proxy camping and stuff.
It is a counter, maybe not a complete counter but they're still more quiet than a normal survivor in a game without Stridor. If you keep moving it still makes tracking your exact position more difficult.

i agree it's counter but not enough, this just like putting bandage to leaking water. Against good spirit with good headphones no counter can be done, if you keep running it's easier for them to track since your breathing will be really loud. Even you can track which side in pallet you are.
If the spirit player is bad you could easily dodge him by using mind tricks, but against good spirit with stridor almost no counterplay, the only counterplay i can do is drop pallet and run like hell

Using a specific build to counter a specific killer does work its just finding a specific build that works in general still on everyone else that nobody wants to spend their time or effort on (I know one though but im keeping it secret)

If spirit was as broken as people say with "LiTeraLlY nO cOuNTeRplAy" she would be getting the 4k every game but thats not the case, in fact she isnt even the strongest performing killer. You not even remember that tournament where pro players vs pro players Spirit got curbstomped game after game and most needed NOED to get kills?
The evidence goes against you buddy. Learn to predict your opponent rather than just dropping a pallet and tbagging

Many other killers have specific counter perks to them such as urban evasion for hag or otherwise she's just literally unstoppable but nobody complains about hag for some reason.

Spirit is the only killer in the game that doesnt give the survivors feedback in her power. If the Spirit just stops moving at a loop there is no way to tell if she is using her power.

This, even as a new spirit myself aswell, several games were just the easiest 4ks I've ever had, so much in fact that it gets boring AF, all you need is headphones and that's it in my experience.
I'd much rather stick to other killers than have such a braindead nurse wannabe.

That's possible, I play on ps4/5 and barely see her.
But when i do face her I barely die and escape most of the time, and that is without iron will.
Never ran that perk unless it would be a rift challenge.
I personally don't see the problem with her as it is just mixing up your playstyle and thinking outside of the box.
Remember when she phased and don't fall for it if she immediately start standing still.

I'll have you know stridor spirit is the only viable killer at red ranks. She is also the only viable killer against this group of yellow rank megheads the matchmaking system has unkindly placed me with, and who I will be slugging at 5 gens for no particular reason.

I know a build that is amazing in team based and solo play that counters spirits with stridor as well as soft counters plenty of other killers in the game but yall don't deserve it anymore

seems pretty clear people don't play Spirit.. chase music drowns out 90% of the sounds, which is why Stridor is used.. an Iron Will user crouched is still nearly inaudible

There is counterplay involved in a match with spirit despite perks. I personally would say that misdirection is the most optimal way to deceive her. If you would understand how she works, you would be able to decipher actions that she makes while she is phasing. You are revealing that you do not understand how the Spirit works.
