Survivor BP Buff?

Hear me out,

So, killers have BBQ+chili right, which gives an insane amount of BPs, what if we have an equivalent. Say we upgrade dark sense and put 100% bps at max lvl. It is pointless to play as survivor for BPs and you should be rewarded for playing as survivor just as much as killer. Thoughts?

WGLF definitely isn't as useful or universal as BBQ but yes it technically does exist.

My only problem with WGLF is the 2 aspects of it are very opposite. You get bonus bp for unhooks but the heal bonus is only to dying survivors, it would be better if they combined we'll make it and WGLF so the healing bonus was after the unhook, and we'll make it could then be for dying survivors with some kind of buff to make it stronger.

IMO, the biggest difference in BBQ and WGLF is the second drives survivors to go out of their way to get the stacks and puts them in 'competition' with other survivors, vs. BBQ being more or less a part of natural game play and no one is competing with the Killer for those scoring events.

    • Safe Unhook - I've had games where it feels like all I'm doing is unhooking people, but those are rare. Usually, I'll get 1-2 unhooks in a match at most.
    • Take a protection hit. Might happen once or twice in the normal flow of a game. But usually only once at best and that's in end game.
    • Stun a killer carrying a surv
    • Blind a killer carrying a surv

The problem with the last two is that the chances you'll be in position to do so are pretty rare. The issue with the last three is that getting stacks reliably requires you to stick close to the Killer. Chances are you aren't doing gens, you're trying to position yourself, which likely makes you a liability to the team. Sure you might a stun or blind save, but that's also valuable minutes you aren't doing the main objective.

Top this off with a very mediocre benefit of 100% healing to a dying teammate. Slugging does happen. But how many good Killers leave a dying teammate to the degree that you can really put that to any kind of use? Personally, I wish they'd stick the BP gain on We'll Make It, or both.

Take away the bp advantage of playing killer and let's see how much longer those survivor queues can get.

The BP bonus isn't necessary but it certainly entices players to be killer which helps combat long survivor queues.

Honestly I'm not sure that's true really. Once you have the perks you want you never really need BP again as survivor. I'm not saying it doesn't sway people on the fence. But it's not enough to make a survivor main into a killer main.

It's all about probability. If the BP bonus from BBQ increases the chances someone plays killer by a few %, over the course of thousands of games it has a sizeable impact. If someone has unlocked everything then there's less incentive but me personally as someone with <1k hours and much to unlock it's a strong incentive.
